PAM'S BUTTERSCOTCH COOKIES

2 cups brown sugar
1 cup shortening
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 teaspoon cream of tarter
1 teaspoon soda
4 cups flour
1 cup nuts

Mix all ingredients together. Make 2 or 3 rolls and chill for several hours. Slice and bake on ungreased cookie sheet at 350, until brown. Can keep the rolls frozen till you need a rush cookie for the grand-kids.
