MOTHER'S PECAN PIE

3 eggs
3/4 cup of brown sugar
1 cup of dark syrup
1/8 tsp. of salt
1 tsp. of vanilla
1/4 cup of melted oleo
pastry shell
pecans

Beat eggs; add sugar, syrup, salt, vanilla and oleo. Line bottom of pastry with pecan pieces. Pour in mixture and bake at 375 degrees for 50 to 60 minutes.

Mother always preferred the outdoors, but believe me, she could cook, when we could get her out of the fields or the pigpen.
