Gadgets

Walther PPK – (Dr. No – Tomorrow Never Dies)

The Walther PPK is first issued to James Bond in Dr. No by Major Boothroyd, when his Beretta is taken away. It delivers shots like a brick through a plate-glass window and has excellent stopping power. It has saved the life of James Bond on many of his missions and has been used to stop several of his main adversaries.

Bond has lost the PPK on numerous missions, always getting a new replacement from Q Branch. Professor Dent is the first unlucky victim of the powerful handgun in the famous scene in Dr. No.

The Walther PPK is 7.65mm and carries six rounds.

Golden Gun –

The weapon of choice for hit-man Francisco Scaramanga, this 4.2mm bullet golden gun was extremely dangerous to any of his intended victims. It consisted of several different parts and could be taken apart and put back together: golden cigarette case, the golden pen, and golden cufflinks.

Scaramanga used the weapon to kill 002; Bill Fairbanks, Rodney, the man who duels with him the precredits, and Hai Fat, Andrea Anders, and Gibson.

Claiming that he only needs one bullet, he is later killed by Bond during their deadly duel in his funhouse.

Fake Nipple –

Given to him by Q Branch, this fake third nipple could appear as the actual item to the human eye. Bond uses it in attempt to make himself appear as Scaramanga.

Homing Button –

This homing device is described to James Bond by Mary Goodnight over dinner. She tells of how the lowest button in her frock contains a Q Branch homing device.

The homer is later mentioned in the film when discussing the whereabouts of Goodnight and Scaramanga.

Quotes

James Bond: Oh, Who'd want to put a contract on me?

M: Jealous husbands! Outraged chefs! Humiliated tailors! The list is endless.

Andrea Anders: Ow. You're twisting my arm.

James Bond: I'll break it if you don't tell me what I want.

James Bond: How will I recognize him?

Andrea Anders: Tall, slim, and dark.

James Bond: So is my aunt. Anything distinctive?

Andrea Anders: How can I put this? He's not like other men.

Andrea Anders: He has three...

James Bond: Probably the most useless anatomical tidbit I've ever heard. Unless the Bottoms Up is a strip club, and Scaramanga is performing.

James Bond: I am now aiming precisely at your groin. So speak or forever hold your piece.

James Bond: Miss Anders, I didn't recognize you with your clothes on.

Francisco Scaramanga: Forget the girl, she's replaceable. I shall find what she stole from me. Personally, I've got nothing against you, Mr. Bond, and to keep it that way, let us hope our paths never cross again. Please don't try to follow me.

James Bond: Your peanut toting friend back there wouldn't like it?

Francisco Scaramanga: No, he wouldn't.

Sheriff J.W. Pepper: Hey! You're that secret agent...that English secret agent! From England!

Francisco Scaramanga: You get as much pleasure out of killing as I do, so why don't you admit it?

James Bond: I admit killing you would be a pleasure.

Francisco Scaramanga: You see, Mr. Bond, like all great artists I want to create one indisputable masterpiece: the death of 007.

James Bond: You mean stuffed and mounted over your rocky mantelpiece?

Francisco Scaramanga: It's an amusing idea, but I was thinking more in terms of history.
