Africa-2000-Ghana
On July 3, 2000, I travelled with 14 other people to Ghana, West Africa for a 5 week missions trip.  While there we helped with a construction service project, visited door to door in a local village, made presentations of song and drama at churches and youth rallies, distributed personal care packages, and learned a whole lot about ourselves and our faith.  Here are a few pics of what went down....
Myself and baby Issac, who was five months old at the time, at the nursery at the Osu Children's Home.
A woman making banku, which is a corn meal kind of mush stuff, in the village of La.
Kids we got to meet and spend a bit of time with when we tried to do an outdoor service in La and the power went out.
This is my friend Rachel playing with some of the kids in La, after a church service.  She really has a gift with children.
Amanda Wolters holding Bula.  Bula is the daughter of a local pastor we worked with.  They loved their daughter so much, but still asked us to take her back to North America with us to give her a "better life".
