How we met:
We went to high school together at Commodore Perry (Jessica is Class of 1999, Zane is Class of 2000) and love to tell people the "Kennywood Story." We also love ICQ, which is what brought us together shortly after my (Jessica's) graduation (we began talking via ICQ after we got back from After Prom at Kennywood. After a few weeks of internet chat and one "date" at my house, we officially became a couple on June 19, 1999 (so you could almost call us one fo those internet couples!). I went to Thiel College as a freshman to study communication and business while Zane finished high school. He decided during that year to go to Thiel for computer science. While we were both at Thiel we bcame involved with the Commuter Student Organization (CSO), which we both did for the four years we were each there.
Engagement:
We were engaged on December 19, 2001. Zane had been planning to propose to me for awhile (they had gone ring browsing earlier in the month) and decided to propose on our half-anniversary. I was very excited and happy, as you can imagine. We were almost going to get married in 2002 before we both graduated, but decided to wait until I graduated in May '03.
In May I graduated with two B.A.'s (Communication and Business Communication) and two minors (Business Administration and Theatre). I was president of the CSO for three years, member of the Society of Collegiate Journalists, assistant editor of the Endymion (yearbook) for one year and Editor-in-Chief of the Endymion for almost a year and involved in SGA (Student Governement Association) through both the CSO and the Endymion, as well as other campus projects and groups.
The next May, Zane graduated from Thiel with a B.A. (Computer Science) and an A.A. (Management Information Systems). He was Vice-President and Treasurer of the CSO and involved in SGA (Student Governement Association) through the CSO.
Wedding and Marriage:
We were married on Saturday, June 14, 2003, two days before my birthday and five days before our 4th anniversary. As it was between my upcoming 23rd birthday and Zane's 22nd birthday on May 28, we were both 22 when we got married. :) From that, it has just been being married... :0)
Zane is currently looking for a job in his field, so hopefully we'll have some good news for the "Announcements" page really soon!
Family:
We have two "babies"... our American Cocker Spaniel, Phoebe, and our tiger cat, Tigger, both seen below.
