System of a Down-Mezmorize

It was worth the wait!! at least to me.. it had been so long since their 2003(correct me if i am wrong) release of "Steal this album". This was one of the cd's I actually purchased the day of release and I was immediately mezmorized as one might say. There is something a little different about the album that I cant quite put my finger on, but it is typically the same old S.O.A.D. Maybe its just my imagination, but they seem to harmonize and actually "sing" more on this one, and Daron seems to sing more.  Anyways, there are many crazy, and just plain raw songs. 3 for example are "B.Y.O.B." , the ever popular "Cigaro", and "Violent Pornography". I call attention to these because two are sexual (guess which) and one is anti war, so those evoke the most emotion of course... B.Y.O.B. is probably one of the most unique songs I have heard in a while. It mixes hardcore screamer-rock with a seductive almost pop-like chorus line which is alot like getting slapped in the face by a girl, then she  makes up with you then she slaps you again gotta love it! The whole album is mostly like this.. a reall ass kickin song, then its followed by a mellow and somewhat odd (lyrically) song This must truely be a great album, because one of my friends who usually doesn't buy into the system of a down style likes it for the simple fact that:"you can scream to the songs like and idiot and no one will care." well that is what the system has always done but whatever...So go get it and start screaming and singing in harmony with you buddy in the car.... both of you will not be disappointed.
