MarioKart DS- Here We Go! Classic... can't knock a classic! MarioKart DS is by far THE game to have for the DS thus far. With this installment of MarioKart the characters are back to their original 1 character carts with none of that tag-team craziness going on as in double dash. Not to say that I did not like it, but I like this format much better. Keep it simple ;) The single player mode offers a variety of tracks, staff time trial ghosts, and an added "level play" (mission modes) should keep you busy for a while. One major selling point, is that the game has alot of the previous tracks from previous installments and they are all apart of the single player mode's "retro cups". This is fun for nastalgia and it also doubles the games playability! Good job Nintendo! This also adds alot more variety when playing online. This game also has great multiplayer options. You can race/battle 8 buddies with one pak via the DS's built in LAN, or you can get all your buddies to get the game pak and it will be alot more fun for they will not have to race as shy guy, and if no one is around you can simply go online and play! While there is no chat ;( (boo!) it is still fun (and challenging) to race against a person rather that artificial intelligence. It is also a little cumbersome to get friends on the online mode because you cannot add them (so you can re-match later!) and about the only way you could find them is to spend your days on a mariokart forum (not Nintendo's! they say no friend code exchange!). I will add mine at the bottom of the review. So before I spoil anything I suggest you go and get this for DS if you haven't done so. If you do not own a DS now's the time to jump on the wagon because the mariokart bundle is here! 149.99 gets you the new red DS with mariokart DS. Open it up take it home, and go online! Also if you don't have a router you can pick up Nintendo's 49.99 usb adapter. With double the playability as previous installments, nastalgia, and wifi there is no reason not to get this game!
