I'm Jay Gannett. As the creator of this page, it seemed appropriate for me to take a moment and talk about the point of this site. Originally I conceived of it as a place for the Gannett Family to have a presence on the web. As the site evolved, that simply did not happen. In fact, it seems to have taken on its own life and drifted toward a sort of travelogue. Rather than fight it, I have decided to let it go in whatever direction it chooses.

My travel interests tend to gravitate toward northern regions and mountains. I have a fascination with the Arctic North as well as Southeast Alaska. My Links Page reflects these interests. I believe you will find some awfully nice sites to visit there.
