so sorry

why does it hurt so much when you hurt
like death calls from beneath the earth
my heart chokes in tears and dismal pain
will love then turn to be my utmost bane

when it dawned on me that i almost lost you
the thought crushed me and tormented me too
you alone have given me something to live by
and if you go, it's no question when i die

tears welled-up from my heart to my eyes
a back-rushing waterfall that made me cry
i let it fall on my face to sooner dry
leaving paths of grief that extends a mile

i sought your forgiveness to stop the pain
for if i let it be, it will leave me insane
like a burning sensation buried deep within
no way to quenched coz it's covered by skin

i'm so sorry i hurt you without meaning it
you know i love you as the air i breathe
the life i lost you returned to me whole
you've known what my heart yearns for my soul
