life inevitably ends and begins anew
in a lifetime, half a century is few
it makes me wonder if a lifetime will do
to love you extremely as much as i do

maybe there was a dozen lifetimes before
that prepared me to love you all the more
like a growing chain that makes it strong
each lifetime, love tried to fix the wrong

maybe there's still a dozen lifetimes after
an infinite chances to make our love better
reaching out thus far to touch perfection
