Preserkepta
In a land not far from Uster, the home of our prince lay a coughing sick father of the temple-Tower Erguth. Two young crying nuns on stools and a stern, burdening faced broad body middle aged man in heavy armor accompanied the father. Upon the bed which the father lay a jeweled mace laid at the foot. The solitary room was small, and the fathers' bedchamber. A small trunk was at the end of the bed; a window was at the head, and the closed door across from the group of people. The group sat in silence through the loud sounds of the spring on the other side of the window. Beyond the quiet place in the halls of the temple a group of three stood. One of the men was dressed as the man within the chamber, but wearing more identifying insignia's. The other man was less muscled and wore light gold colored cloth, he held a long silver and gold striped staff which contained symbolic shapes, atop the mans head was a tall leather cap; his face was weary and he wore a long, flowing beard, his size in stature was short in a humans view. Lastly the third stranger was a thin female, she was wise at the eyes yet the outer figure seemed very young, she was tightly dressed and had a large and loose cape connected to highly well crafted metal shoulder guards. When all the pleasantries were said the well-built man began the business: "If we are all finished I would like to tell you both why we have come to this temple of peace. Tower Erguth have been a welcoming place to all of our races during war, or just traveling through to the capital Uster. I cannot serve a war or live knowing we no longer can determine on this peaceful place for solitude," The others agreed in reply, "We are losing the priest of this place, and no one can slave him at this time, is that correct Rone?" The female looked the man over and convinced herself enough to answer, "My race of elves do not last forever, though we last up to five times the years the human race does. Father Viqwer is only four hundred forty-nine years of age; this does not require him to have his life ended yet. The father is dying from a newly discovered sickness that seems only to affect the elven races, Wood Elves, Drow, etc. This problem does not concern many families that a member is affected, this is because the sickness does not seem to spread easily." Rone explained casually. "Is there a cure yet?" the human replied. "No, as I had said before it is a new discovered sickness." responded Rone. "Can't we just kill the ones who do have the sickness and be done with it?" the smaller member asked. "Unfortunately Gedaf that would not solve anything but the quickening of the final result," explained Rone, "we do not simply end ones years in such a time. The sickened may have useful information or still a task unfinished." "This does not solve our problem at hand," Interrupted the human, "there is still the need for a solution to what is to become of the father and Tower Erguth." "Well informed Adar," Gedaf congratulated. Adar continued, "This tower is needed for the safety and depending alliances it stands for, If it is to be discontinued from its services there will be a war! Gedaf, you are a dwarven priest," The dwarf nodded. "can you not help father Viqwer?" "I am only a healer for the dwarves in war. I know nothing of elven sicknesses." Stated Gedaf. "There must be a way!" Adar stressed. The group went quiet and stood steady and still for several moments thinking of some way. Suddenly the doors to the fathers bed chamber opened. Out came the armored human, a smile was worn across his face. He went towards the group in the hallway and bowed, then the man looked up at Adar and greeted them. Once he was finished he began. "General Adar," he started, "the father says he heard all you have been discussing and knows a way to preserve his wisdom." "Continue Dier." Adar said with interest. Dier continued, "He says there is a vase called Preserkepta created by the High Elves long ago. This vase is said to have the ability to contain knowledge within it. Also the father says the knowledge can either be deposited into the vase or withdrawn into the user." "Where is this vase kept?" Adar asked. "He does not know, but he said to ask the elf named Rone if she knew." Dier concluded "I have heard a great deal about this vase before now. I also have heard rumors of its location, and the most common believe path to it is the South-Western passage from the great city of Behadren." Rone said. "Alright then," stated Adar, "Dier I want you to return to Uster and tell the king a message from me," Dier waited, "tell him if he does not want a war and thousands of lost lives then he will send some soldiers to retrieve Preserkepta." Dier bowed once more then began towards the exit. He then was outside and mounted his armored horse and rode Northeast towards the castle Uster. Within Tower Urguth- Adar, Rone, and Gedaf silently stood over father Viquer in wait. .. Early on the second day after his departure Dier had arrived at Uster. At the large wooden drawbridge he was allowed in and he entered. When he had reached the Kings throne room he was granted an audience with the King, and entered to discuss what would be done about the Preserkepta. When within the throne room doors Dier walked fearlessly towards the King. The eyes of all nobles and others that were awaiting an audience with his majesty followed him across the velvet rug leading to the thrones. Dier stopped before the King at the bottom of the steps leading to the heightened royal family. King Remisar was directly before Dier on his large throne, which seemed to be crafted by dwarves due to its magnificence with the metals and stones. To King Remisar's right stood the seat of queen Olieen in a less grand chair; finally to his majesties left lay prince Zarm in his least magnificent chair not crafted by a dwarf or elf. The King wore a heavily jeweled silk robes and trousers. The queen highness Olieen had a unique gown and many stones that had brilliant shines. Prince Zarm wore extraordinarily rich colored trousers, and a grand vest. As Dier described the problem and the matter of the Preserkepta his Majesty listened inattentively to every detail. During the discussion Zarm also listened to Dier and shifted uneasily at the mention of Father Viqwer being sick. When Dier mentioned the Peserkepta and its rumored location the prince was even more interested; he sat straighter and kept his eyes directly on the messenger, and listened inattentively to his every word till Dier was dismissed. The King then dismissed all other peoples in the room and retired for the day out a concealed back door.
