| Friday June 11, 2004: Hi everyone. Sorry it's been so long since I have updated. Things have been nuts as usual. But good otherwise. As you can see from last week I lost 2 more pounds making me 217lbs. I didn't lose anything this week and thats okay, because I cheated and weighed myself again yesterday and I lost another pound...heehee!!!! But I wont mark that until next week, hopefully I will lose at least 2 or 3 more. Well come to think about it, I wont be able to weigh in. I'm going away Tuesday night. My BF is taking me to Laconia, New Hampshire for bike week. This is going to be very cool. We are camping, which should be fun, I just hope the bugs leave me alone. I've been doing the right thing, drinking my water and eating lots of chicken. I can't wait until we get back from our trip so I can start the gym. It's time to kick it into gear and start really assisting this "tool" in helping me lose the weight. Tuesday I went to the monthly support group meeting and we had a guest speaker, Barbara Thompson. She wrote the book "Finding the Thinner Person Hiding Inside You". She was really great, funny and a lot of what she said struck home. I should have bought her book awhile ago, but never got around to it. I could have picked it up that night but I had to leave early to meet a client for my BF who by the way never showed up....grrrrr!!!!!! So now I am going to just buy it. I really need to go to these meetings on a steady basis. They really do help, and inspire you to stay on track. It's one thing that I learned is that I only have this year to really lose as much weight as possible, because after my 12 months it will be soo much harder to get the weioght off. So now I am on a mission. And part of that mission is going to be getting more active in my life and that starts tomorrow. I'm playing paintball with some guys from work and that should be an all day event. I can't wait to wipe them out...hee hee...I know I'm so bad. Well I need to set up my new tank for my fishy, it's so pretty. I have so much to do before we leave Tuesday night. I will try and update over the weekend, if not I will when I get back. Oh and by the way wish me a Happy Belated Birthday...it was last Saturday.....go me!!!!!! Ciao |

| Monday June 21, 2004: Howdy all.....sorry it's been so long but as I told you I went away to Laconia, New Hampshire for bike week. We had a blast, there were some hairy parts, but on a whole even with camping in the outdoors it was wonderful. I feel content and at peace (for now) but I'm still tired. We did a lot of driving (8hrs both ways ) and over 300 miles on a hardtail bike, so I am still worn out from our trip. I can't wait to do it again next year :). I haven't weighed in yet, I'm holding out for Wednseday, I know I missed last week. But you know I think I dropped a couple of more pounds because all I ate was protein and drank nothing but water and some fruit drinks. I wore a pair of slacks to work today that haven't fit so well since I first bought them over 3 yrs ago. Can you see the big cheese smile on my face? Well I just wanted to check in and let you know I didn't forget you guys. I will be back tomorrow and give you guys the nitty gritty on our trip....I promise. Night everyone. |

| Wednesday June 23, 2004: Why hello everybody!!!!!! Today is weigh in day and can you tell I'm smiling?!!! Hee hee!!!!! I lost another 4lbs, which averages 2 lbs for the past two weeks (since I wasn't home to weigh in last Wednesday) bringing to a sweet 211 lbs. I guess all that protein eating and walking did me some good. I also lost another 6 inches. Very cool right? So as of 21 weeks I have lost 77 lbs and 49 inches forever!!!!! I'm doing the happy dance right now. Not a bad figure for just over 4 months out? I am still feeling quite fatigued. I don't know if it's because of being away and camping or that it's so hard for me to break away from my desk and walk around. I'm taking 2 Flinstones now, an iron supplement, B-12 and biotin for my hair. My surgeon's office said everything looks great blood work wise, but I probably need to exercise more aggressively. I told my BF if he not ready by the first week of July to join the gym with me, I'm going alone. Hey a girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do. Just a side note, I wore a pair of slack that were really tight on me almost 4 years ago, now they are fitting perfect, even a little loose. Bike week in Laconia was amazing, the roads were supreme and the people really friendly. We had a blast camping, although I was eaten alive by mosquitos. Like one of the girls said, these suckers can carry you away. But all in all, it was a great time, and it helped rekindle sparks between me and my BF. I think we really needed that time together. We are going to make it a point to get away even for a weekend once in a while, just to keep the romance alive. Hey it really helps the sex life too!!!! As soon as I can figure out why Yahoo is double billing me for this web space and I can add more space I'm going to upload pics of me and the trip....I promise. Night everyone!!!!! |
