A Page on Moi

Yawn now or forever hold your peace.

Hello!!!

My name is Karen (no, really?) and as of fall 2001 I am a junior in high school (wow, amazing). I'm that weird girl, you know the one, there's one at every school. See, I wear dresses every day to school! I know, why would you do a thing like that when you don't have to? Cause I like to get all dressed up in my pretty outfits, that's why. But they are fun and when I spin they twirl! (No, I am not on anything!) My favorite color is burgundy, see the background of this page? Love burgundy!). I don't wear makeup cause if I ever touched it I would wind up looking like a 'Lovely Lady' (plus I'm too lazy). I don't curse, ever. I'm like that goody-two shoes most teachers like, but with my friends I am a lot more fun (trust me...) Um, If you want to see a bad picture of me there's one on a link fromt the Obsessed page, just remember, I'm one of those people who don't photograph well

Let's see, was that boring enough? No? You still have brain cells left for more? Then I guess I'll go on.

I love Les Miz. I first saw it in the summer of 2000, ah those were the days. Men were men and goils were goils, oh, 'scuse me, that would be Christine's fault (You'll see 'Friends I will frequently mention bios' on the bottom). Anyway, I was hooked.
My favorite musicals are Les Miz, Scarlet Pimpernel (which I didn't get to see on Broadway, boohoohoo, please let them revive it!) Jekyll and Hyde (The 1994 recording with Anthony Warlow is the best, though the OBC is pretty good too, you have to give any man who can perform that part a lot of credit. I also never saw this, again, I am hoping for a revival!). I actually saw Beauty and the Beast (what a production!) and Jane Eyre (soooooooooo good, and that James Barbour? Absolutely gorgeous, not to mention that voice, he signed my playbill!). Um, saw Annie Get Your Gun with Reba McEntire and Grease with Lucy Lawless (you know, Xena!, she signed my playbill too.) And two nights before closing I saw 'The Adventures of Tom Sawyer' which should NOT have been taken off Broadway. And um, they'll be more on this topic on the 'Other Musicals' page.

Umm, let's see, still here? Okay... Anthony Warlow is the greatest singer of all time!!! Philip Quast is up there with him, as are Terrence Mann, James Barbour and Jacques Mercier (OFC Javert). I tell pretty much everyone that though they are all perfect (especially Anthony Warlow) the most perfect man would be the son of all five. I know it's impossible but I can dream. You can probably guess from this that my favorite and ultimate recording is the CSR! And yes, I know that I haven't mentioned Kevin Odekirk yet, well, he's in a different paragraph!

Well, um, I like to read and write (well, obviously) and my dream is to one day own my own island (don't ask). I also run the Unofficial Kevin Odekirk Fan Club (Oh, ::sigh::, he's dreamy) Um, I'm on the Mock Trial team. So far I have officially converted nine people and am in the process of converting two more in the ways of Les Miz. I'm also in the cast and crew of our school plays (if somehow we ever do Les Miz, I will be Javert!).

Javert: Ah, you are so obsessed with me, I have to get a restraining order!

Me: You know that it's only because you have all the best music!

Javert: Sure it is...

Okay, I'm a child at heart (and everywhere else too, just turned 16). I still on occasion play 'dress-up' with my friends ::ducks another rock:: and go to family camp and act extremely stupid. I love the Renaissance Faire (coolest thing ever!!!) I like to walk around barefoot, cook, play volleyball, go to auctions, design websites. My favorite movies are Ever After and Rush Hour, favorite Les Miz character is Enjolras (big surprise). Okay, running out of things to say, I'm optimistic, though people sometimes say I have a dry, 'caustic' wit. Okay, pretty much out of interesting things to say... Oh, wait, I'm colorblind, so if some of the colors on the site are a little iffy, I blame my genes! Wow, please let that be it...

People I will frequently mention:

Sophie: One of my best friends who also likes Les Miz a whole lot. She writes fanfic for me and draws me pictures. She's also half Belgian so she helped me to translate the words to the Original French Concept Album. She has one cat (And loves all others) a hamster and a lizard. She thinks all animals are cute and both she and Christine have 100 averages, don't ask me how (I love embarassing them!) She plays the clarinet and is just one of the nicest people you'll ever meet. She loves Grantaire (and her own 'Combeferre', but she's in denial on that one.) And she loves Terrence Mann (though she pronounced his name wrong for about the first month). We like to get green slushies and go 'wild'.

Christine: Another of my best friends, but she won't even read my fanfic so she gets a short bio. (I am full of spite, please forgive me) She likes dogs, homework, cooking, and doing impressions of people (ex. Archie Bunker).

Both Christine and Sophie were on my volleyball team for gym (team Winecask, we made up a whole cheer, it was great. Contrary to popular belief I was the captain, not Sophie!)

Mr. E: My old chem/computers/technical drawing teacher from last year. Also the director/producer of our school plays who I harass thoroughly with pictures of Javegg But he's one of those hip-young-new-age teachers (though he probably wouldn't like me saying that) so he doesn't mind or get freaked out by my scariness.
He actually joins in my craziness.

That's about it, breathe a sigh of relief and get the heck out of here while you still can!!!

Please, please, shut up and let me go home!!!
