The price at present for any notebook type of portable computer (running the Windows Operating system) is U.S. $1,200.00 in any country. This is because of the difficulty of determining where the computer was bought, and where it will be used. For example if it was purchased in India, for the local price, but exported to and used mainly in the United States of America, this would defeat the purpose of offering a lower price to people with lower earnings potential.
For this reason, although this situation may change in the future if a computer is purchased and used exclusively in one country, connected to one internet provider, currently there is only one international price in U.S. dollars for notebook computers..
