| IMPORTANT The name looks like it is actually spelled with a Polish L on several documents but it is difficult to be sure because the Polish L has a line crossing it which makes it look like a T So the actual name may be Trzebialowski the L being pronounced like our W. NAME TRANSLATION POSSIBILITIES Trze might be a suffix derived from the word Trzy which means 3. Bial is a prefix from the word Bialy which means White. Owski is a commom suffix given to words and names to make them adjectives. There is a city named Trzebiatow in north west Poland which is where this name probably originates. When Germany (Prussia) took over this part of Poland in the 1700s they renamed Polish cities in German like possibly Darmsdorf, which appears on the wedding certificate of John Jr. and Theresa Killian. When Poland took over again after WWI they renamed the cities their original names. | ||
