This page is dedicated to keeping our memories of Kim alive. I think it's more important to remember all the bright moments Kim added to our lives than it is to dwell on our loss. Kim Evans January 13, 1983 - September 30, 2000
Kim was a child of Yosemite. She spent her whole life here in this spectacular place, she loved so much. Once a year She and some of her good friends made the sixteen mile hike to the top of Half Dome.

Kim was one of the top two students in her class the entire time she was in highschool. She would most likely have been the valedictorian this year.

Don and Carolyn Kim's parents, Jeff her twin brother, and younger sister Kellye. On October 14th, 2000 The Evans family, Erica Rowe, her father Doug Rowe, Caroline Upton and myself all rode mules to the top of Half Dome where Doug led us in a prayer for Kim. Then we spread a portion of her ashes to the wind over the Yosemite valley.

Kim was a great swimmer. She swam for the Yosemite Rapids Swim Team. She never missed a meet in six years. But really she just loved to swim for fun at the river. This photo was taken by myself just before I left for Poland. This was one of the last full days we ever spent together.
