Representative Career:
1989 - Represented Australian Schoolboys
1993 - Selected for NSW in three matches of tthe State of Origin series, but was only used in the second and third games. Made his debut in the second game vs Queensland at the Sydney Football Stadium on May 17th, 1993. Appearances 2, Points Nil.
1994 - Represented the City 'Place of Origin'' team against Country, Country won 22-2, Jason scored the only points for City, with a penalty goal.
Awards:
1996 - Jason won the prestigious Rothmans Meddal for the Best and Fairest player in the competition.
1989 - Won the Schoolboy Player of the Yeear Award
JT Firsts:
First Match: 18 March, 1990 vs Brisbane for Wests at Campbelltown Stadium as an interchange player for Pat O ' Doherty. The match was a 12 all draw.
First 'run on' Appearance: 1st April, 1990 vs Newcastle for Wests at Newcasle International Sports Centre. Newcastle won 34 - 0.
First Points in First Grade: 8th April, 1990. He scored 5 goals vs Parramatta at Campbelltown Stadium in Wests 34-18 win.
First Try: 4th May,1990 vs Souths at Campbeltown Stadium in Wests 16 - 8 win.
First position: Five Eighth, as Ivan Henjak was Wests Halfback.
First Captained a First Grade Team: 1994, North Sydney.
