| Step Seventeen
Ok now that the heat treat cycles are complete its time to head back to the belt sander and grind them to 120 grit. In this picture the bottom blade is unground after heat treating, the middle blade is partially ground to 120, the top blade is fully ground to 120. Notice how easy it is to see the previous grind marks and low/high spots from the steel moving around during heat treating? |

| Step Eighteen
Once the blades are fully ground to 120grit its time to do the final shape of the tips. For these knives I decided upon 3 slight drop points and 2 modified points. usually i dont keep a straight back edge like the previous pics show on a knife this thin...its too fragile for everyday use. |

| Step Nineteen
Time to drill out the holes for tying the handle wrap on. I drill the holes 5/16" then counter sink them with a 3/8" bit. |

| Step Twenty
Time to apply the finish. On these knives I'm doing a user grade finish. The next step is switch to a 220 grit sanding belt and sand all of the 120 grit marks out. After they are down to 220 grit I take them to the buffer where i buff them to a 400grit finish. |
