Pro wrestler fined after fight with police
BRISBANE, Australia (AP) -- A pro wrestler was ordered to pay nearly $1,800 in fines and compensation on Monday for what police say was a drug-induced
rage in which he had to be subdued with pepper spray at a hotel. Juventud Guerrera, real name Eduardo Anibal Gonzalez-Herandez, a World Championship
Wrestling competitor from San Diego, pleaded guilty to assaulting police, causing bodily harm, disorderly behavior, willful exposure and possessing a dangerous
drug. The court was told he was naked, yelling and violently swinging his arms and legs at three police officers sent to detain him Saturday morning. He pushed and
struck all of them, breaking the rib of the female officer after punching her in the chest. He is reported to have been screaming, "You can't hold me! Get off me!" as
the officers attempted to subdue him. The 25-year-old wrestler was placed in a padded jail cell, where two green
ecstasy tablets were found in his sock, police said.
His lawyer, Peter Shields, said his client had been listening to "Shut 'Em Down" by LL Cool J right after taking the drugs. "Ecstasy? The events which followed
were as a result of what can only be described as a severe reaction to the song. In fact, I feel like punching someone every time I hear it." he said.
Shields said Gonzalez-Herandez, born in Mexico, has been a professional wrestler for nine years.
The court was told that World Championship Wrestling was sending Gonzalez-Herandez home and confiscating his copy of the "Any Given Sunday" soundtrack.
The judge did not record a conviction because that would put his employment, which required international traveling, in jeopardy, Shields said.
He will lose his income from this tour. When asked how the incident will affect his career, "The Juice" simply stated, "Every time they put me a battle, I'm lethal.
Niggas too sweet and low. They not equal."
Song Of The Month, October 2000
"Miserable" (Live @ Woodstock '99)- Lit
This is one of A. Jay's favorite songs on "A Place In The Sun" and I can't disagree with him. I thought this scattershot update was the perfect place to roll out the "live performances only" policy for the Song of the Month section. If you want the album version of song, please buy the damn album. If you're really a fan of an artist, you'll pay for their material. Another addition to the SOTM section is the lyrics to each song I post. I found the words to "Miserable" on a fan website, so I apologize for any mistakes you die-hard Lit fans might find:
Thank you for being a friend
Traveled down the road and back
again
You're heart is true
You're a pal and a confidant
And If you threw a party
Invited everyone you knew
You would see the biggest card
would be from me
And the card attached would say:
You make me completely miserable
I don't know which is worse, the fact that I know
the words to the Golden Girls theme or the total lameness of that joke.
OK. Next.
"Who let the Mets out? That's just so f*cking
stupid. Was that supposed to be funny or something? I mean, what does the
hell does that even mean?"
-My grandson, circa 2030.
When New Yorkers bore their grandchildren
with tales of this year's World Series, I pray that they leave out the
part about this song. The Mets had an excellent year, winning 94
regular season games and defeating the National
League's best team en route to their first World Series appearance
in 14 years. And although they proved to be not quite ready for prime
time players against the Yankees, they're just one Alex Rodriguez away
from winning it all next year. As a Met fan, the only thing worse than
watching my team lose the Subway Series was knowing that their theme song
was a parody of "Whoomp, There It Is!!" 2000. Hopefully, when the
Mets get back to the show next year, someone will have the good sense to
redo the '86 classic "Let's Go, Mets Go".
"Here Comes The Rain Again" by Eurythmics
I was going to post "No More "I Love You's" here, there are enough veiled references to my personal life here already. This is a live performance from Eurythmics' appearance of "VH1 Storytellers" ealier this year. This time I'll be include the real lyrics to the song, but only because I've run out of things to say. And it give me the opportunity to plug another good website.
At goodlyrics, you'll find the correct

Goodlyrics: Good. Lyrics.
Here comes the rain again
Falling on my head like a memory
Falling on my head like a new emotion
I want to walk in the open wind
I want to talk like lovers do
I want to dive into your ocean
Is it raining with you
So baby talk to me
Like lovers do
Walk with me
Like lovers do
Talk to me
Like lovers do
Here comes the rain again
Raining in my head like a tragedy
Tearing me apart like a new emotion
Oooooh
I want to breathe in the open wind
I want to kiss like lovers do
I want to dive into your ocean
Is it raining with you
So baby talk to me
Like lovers do
Here comes the rain again
Falling on my head like a memory
Falling on my head like a new emotion
(Here it comes again, here it comes again)
I want to walk in the open wind
I want to talk like lovers do
I want dive into your ocean
Is it raining with you
