A 'SPECIAL PLACE'

You have a special place Dear Lord
that I know you'll always keep
A special place reserved for dogs
  when they quietly fall asleep
With large and airy kennels
and a yard for hiding bones
With maybe a little babbling creek
  that chatters over stones.
With wide green fields and flowers
  for those who never knew
about running freely under
  Your sky of perfect blue.
Lord,I know You keep this Special Place
And so to you I Pray,
For one very Special Rottweiler
  Who quietly died today
He was full of strength & love
  and so very, very wise.
The puppy look he once had
Had long since left his eyes.
He is dearly missed my Lord
By a very good friend of mine.
He went to join his ancestors
To Your land that is Devine
So, speak to Lars softly please
And give him a warm hello.
He's a Special gift to you Dear Lord
From Dave, who loved him so.

My Heart Will Go On
(Love Theme From 'Titanic')
(song playing)

Every night in my dreams
I see you. I feel you.
That is how I know you go on.

Far across the distance
And spaces between us
You have come to show you go on.

Near, far, wherever you are
I believe that the heart does go on
Once more you open the door
And you're here in my heart
And my heart will go on and on

Love can touch us one time
And last for a lifetime
And never let go till we're gone

Love was when I loved you
One true time I hold to
In my life we'll always go on

Near, far, wherever you are
I believe that the heart does go on
Once more you open the door
And you're here in my heart
And my heart will go on and on

You're here, there's nothing I fear,
And I know that my heart will go on
We'll stay forever this way
You are safe in my heart
And my heart will go on and on
Lars, loved to go for a walk, to the park. He only needed to see me putting on my special walking shoes, without saying a word to him, and he knew we would be going to his favorite park. He would get so excited, and gave his anxious whine a couple times, anticipating his favorite past time. He thought the park belonged to him...and it did.
His other favorite past time, was snoozing with whomever was available to be a snoozing partner. As long as he could be close to one of us, he was content.
Lars was such a smart dog, and  always tried to understand us. He would turn his head to one side, as if he was listening more closely. We loved him so so much.
Lars was a humorous, comical guy. He loved teasing us, by taking articles of clothes, and running away with it, waiting for us to try to take it from his strong grip. If he didn't want us to go somewhere, he'd try to stop us by grabbing our shoes. Dave used to play the "I'll beat you up" game with him. He put him in his hug lock, and Lars loved this game. I used to laugh so hard at them. He gave us so much happiness, it's so hard now that he's gone. We will try to stay strong, in hopes to see him again  someday. Lars, baby we love you so much. Thank you for giving us memories to cherish of your charm, wit and love.
