Isn't Gods Creation Great

There are two types of Zebra that we saw.
The one (above) has thinner stripes and closer together, and the other (left) wider and further apart. There are no two Zebras stripped the same and it is how they identify each other. Like fingerprints. The ones left are also brown.

Getting this close to Giraffes and feeding them, was definitely a highlight. Variety of impala, Gazelles and Antelope wer wonderful to see.

Just love these two heavy weights. Seeing the Rhino (below) reminded me of the time I nearly got trampled by 3 in a game reserve in South Africa. The Hippo is not an animal I want to come across, especially if I was to be between it and the water. They are one of the biggest killers in Africa.

Female Ostrich (above) came up to say hello. She is plain grey and dullish but wow..those eyes will get you every time!!
The male (right) here is doing a courtship dance for us !!!! Yes, no females around, except for us three females in the car. When they are on heat their neck is very red. They are aggresive at this time, but this certainly was an impressive display.

I wish I could have pictures of all the animals, but no space on camera. One of the interesting ones was the Silver Back Gorillas. It was interesting to see the main males reaction to Yigals presence. He watched his every move, moving around to places he could see him clearly. This was partly because he does not like Yigal. I guess as a vet, sometime you have to do unpleasant things to treat them and this fella obviously was not one to forget easily. It was same for the late Gabi Eshkar at the Biblical Zoo. Many animals got nervous when they saw him around.
