ALBERT Finney
Fantastically alive, roguish, and real--  He might seem to border on the obnoxious with his jocular bravado (as in Two for the Road)  or complete histrionics (as in The Dresser), but these always come through as the fault of the character, and not the actor.  Albert Finney clearly gives his all in every performance in a way that is intense and timeless.
