is any activity that includes the movement of magma
toward or onto the surface of the earth.
Volcano
Is an opening in the earth’s crust which allows hot magma,
ash, and gases to escape from below the surface.
Beliefs of the Greeks
- Vulcan is the latin word for volcano.
- Believed that it was an entrance or a passage to fiery underworld.
- Believed that a god of fire, named Hephaestus, lives in it.
