> Reep and Rokk are joined by Jo Nah (Ultra Boy), who has become a gang leader on Rimbor, and his associates, Kono and Furball (secretly Brin Lando -Timber Wolf).
> Blok is murdered by Roxxas the Butcher at the request of the Dominator-controlled Earthgov.
> Dirk Morgna (Sun Boy) hires Celeste Rockfish to investigate Blok's murder and track down Roxxas.
> Rokk, Reep, Jo, Kono and Furball journey to Tharn to rescue Mysa Nal (White Witch) from Mordru, but are captured. They are joined by Laurel Gand, who has come to Tharn to rescue Rond Vidar. As Rokk negotiates the release of his comrades over a lavish dinner with Mordru, the rest of the crew battles Mordru's servant, the vampiric creature known as Vrykos. Seeking to help her friends, an anguished Mysa joins the battle but is captured and held hostage by Vrykos until she is mentally pushed too far and magically destroys him. Rokk convinces Mordru that it is in his best interest to let them all go free.
> Celeste is joined by Bounty (secretly Dawnstar) and Devlin O'Ryan, a reporter for the Daily Planet, on the journey to Trom to meet with Jan Arrah (Element Lad), hoping that he can aid them in their search for Roxxas.
> After meeting Laurel and Rond's baby girl, Lauren, Rokk's group travels to Winath to attend a memorial for Blok. Celeste's group, joined by Jan, also goes to Winath. Garth Ranzz (Lightning Lad), Imra Ardeen-Ranzz (Saturn Girl), Ayla Ranzz (Lightning Lass) and Salu Digby, aka Vi (Shrinking Violet) are already on Winath.
> Roxxas, driven insane during his years of imprisonment and guilt over murdering the entire population of Trom, travels to Winath to kill more Legionnaires. He grieviously wounds Reep Daggle, Mekt Ranzz (the former Lightning Lord), Celeste Rockfish and Bounty before being attacked and severely beaten by Jo Nah. Roxxas briefly escapes by hitting Jo with a chronal howitzer, which shifts him backwards in time and space, but is captured shortly afterwards while seeking medical care for his injuries.
> Querl Dox, aka Brainy (Brainiac 5) arrives on Winath to tend to the injured and is dumbfounded when Celeste suddenly recovers from her fatal injuries after being bathed in an odd energy burst.
> Tenzil Kem (Matter-Eater Lad) defends Brek Bannin (Polar Boy) for crimes against Earthgov and is able to have him acquitted due to legal loopholes.
> Kent Shakespeare (Impulse) and Science Police Officer Gim Allon (Colossal Boy) battle the Persuader on Quarantine, a medical facility. Afterwards, Kent leaves Quarantine, where he served as a physician, and heads to Winath to join the reforming Legionnaires.
> The Legion officially reforms with Rokk Krinn, Reep Daggle, Jan Arrah, Ayla Ranzz, Salu Digby, Brainiac 5, Laurel Gand, Mysa Nal, Furball, Kono, Celeste Rockfish and Bounty.
> Glorith confronts a severely weakened Time Trapper and absorbs his essence.
> The reformed Legion establishes a new headquarters on Talus, a small planetoid consisting of an abandoned Dominion Battle Wagon and many smaller derelict spaceships.
> Tenzil Kem joins.
> The Khunds continue with their invasion of UP planets using powerful chemical weapons. Laurel and Vi are able to infiltrate the Khundish base of operations and learn that Glorith is behind the Khund's sudden quest for expansion and access to powerful weapons from the past. Vi is able to hit Glorith with a chronal howitzer which throws Glorith into the far future. The Khunds retreat.
> Jacques Foccart (Invisible Kid II) has been leading a resistance movement against Earthgov which includes Troy Stewart (Tyroc) and many members of the former Legion of Substitute-Heroes. Universo has been leading a separate resistence faction and contacts Jacques in order to form an alliance.
> Atmos is killed by B.I.O.N. (formerly C.O.M.P.U.T.O.), who was reprogrammed to possess the powers of many of the Legionnaires and was sent after him by the Dominators.
> Lar Gand (Valor) and Tasmia Mallor (Shadow Lass) interrupt the plans of a new Dark Circle uprising.
> Superman arrives in the 30th century during a time-travel misadventure and helps the Legion battle an enraged Dev-Em. Earth's moon is destroyed, the orbiting medical station Medicus One is destroyed and fusion power-spheres all over the planet explode, causing many deaths, including Legion allies Dr Gym'll and Circadia Senius.
> A Power sphere explosion causes Dirk Morgna's powers to fluctuate wildly out of control, consuming his body. He is hospitalized by the Dominators, who make an official announcement that he has died.
> The SW6 batch of teen-age Legionnaires which had been created by the Time Trapper and discovered by the Dominators is accidently released from their Dominator suspension pods. Shortly afterwards, they come into contact with Devlin O'Ryan, who has started developing his own meta-human abilities.
> Jo Nah returns from the distant past with the aid of Nabu, a Lord of Order.
> Mysa leaves the Legion on a quest to find Amethyst, the former soul of the destroyed Sorceror's World.
> THE QUIET DARKNESS <Darkseid returns with plans to transform a young girl named Aria into the Gemini, an advanced humanoid that represents the step between humanity and godhood. Despite the efforts of several Legionnaires, he succeeds in transforming Aria and manipulates her into killing him by attacking Furball and Aria's friend, Lori. Darkseid's blast reverts Furball back into his humanoid form of Brin Lando which is dying due to radiation poisoning.
> Devlin convinces the SW6 Legionnaires to meet with and join Jacques Foccart's Earthgov Resistence.
> A group of resistance fighters, led by the former Legion of Substitute-Heroes, takes over the Dominator's underground chambers, a series of sub-terranean chambers located under major cities that house several of the Dominator's secrets, which include numerous super-beings in suspension pods and at one time held the SW6 Legionnaires. In the chambers, they discover a pod which holds the tortured, yet living, body of Dirk Morgna and accidently release Monica Sade, a teleporting criminal who they convince to aid the resistance.
> B.I.O.N. is programmed by the Dominators to retrieve the SW6 Legionnaires, but mistakes the adult Laurel Gand for her youthful counterpart and attacks her. He beats her badly before she flees from Earth to the Legion headquarters on Talus. Once on Talus, he disables several Legionnaires before he is stopped by Rokk, Kono and Loomis, a friend of Rokk's that was also disabled in the Braal-Imsk war.
> The Dominators kill Earth President Tayla Wellington on a live galaxy-wide broadcast when she begs for help against Earth's Dominator oppressors. The people of Earth begin to rebel en masse.
> Aria/Gemini transports Brin Lando into the past and slightly mutates him, removing the radiation poisoning that was killing him.
> The resistance fighters are barely able to prevent the Dominators increasingly reckless attempts at reclaiming the underground chambers. A plan is executed by Jacques and the SW6 Legionnaires which enables their escape but Grinn, Universo's resistance field officer, detonates the underground chambers self-destruct device which causes massive explosions across the globe. The explosions claim the lives of the youthful Chameleon Boy, Karate Kid and Princess Projectra. In turn, Sade kills Grinn by throwing him out of their speeding ship.
> Science Police Officer Shvaughn/Sean Erin runs out of a drug called ProFem which transformed his/her male body into that of a woman. With the help of the adult and teen-age Jan Arrahs, he accepts his true identity as a man and rejoins the resistence movements against Earthgov.
