Start by drawing this undetailed sketch, it is the base of the hand. The part attatched is where the thumb may go and depending on the wanted hand position, may need to moved around.
Now draw the fingers. Use some lines and points to define the position. The fingers use three points, the thumb only uses two.
Now begin drawing the outline of the hand and the fingers. Keep the width of all the fingers the same.
Erase the lines in the hand.
Now add the detail and finishing touches (fingernails, knuckles, etc.).
Consider what the hand looks like at all angles and try drawing difficult hand positions; practicing it now will give you an edge in the future.
