CUSTOM WOODBURNINGS ABOUT THE ARTIST An accomplished, self-managed artist for over 25 years, Jaque lives with her husband, children and Miniature Australian Shepherds on a small hobby farm in the beautiful, rugged wilderness of Northern Idaho. Unsurpassed in its beauty, Idaho is a sportsman's (or woman's!) paradise; providing a rustic backdrop of lush vegetation, incredible views, and flaunting a multitude of wildlife including deer, elk, moose, cougar, bear, and even wolves. What artist could ask for more? Since early childhood, Jaque has mastered many different art techniques including pen & ink, acrylic, watercolor and even sculpting; but, while she enjoys all art forms, it wasn't until she found the art of Pyrography that she truly felt she had found a medium which provided the depth of expression she was seeking. A skilled Pyrographer, Jaque specializes in wildlife scenes, portraits, and pet portraits. Considered somewhat of a "Purist", she prefers to do monochrome pieces - though she is not opposed to adding a hint of color on the rare occasion she feels the piece warrants the addition.
