Let's Learn about Japan!

To understand oneself is to learn about differences from another. Learning about foreign counties makes you think deeply about what you are. Then you know yourself better.

Not only does teaching with thematic units help elementary school students to learn effectively, but it also gives teachers endless opportunities to use literature for extending and enriching learning across isciplines.  For example, with an emphasis on multicultural education, teachers are encouraged to help students understand other cultures and to promote peace in the world.

Technology provides yet another vehicle for helping students to understand key concepts and engage in activities related to an overriding theme" (Wepner, 1993).

There will be many more Japanese educational sites (e.g., Japanese elementary schools, and Japanese people) that you can ask questions to help your students learn effectively.
