| In the year 2021 mankind landed on Mars. The crew of the NASA ship Voyager was shocked to find the remains of what appeared to be a giant alien robot frozen in the red planet's ice. The discovery sent the news into chaos, and soon riots broke out globally. Groups for and against aliens began forming and protesting. Only when another rocket had been sent to bring the artifact back to earth did scientists really know what they were looking at. The machine was not an actual robot but a highly advanced form of battle armour that had been frozen for millions of years on Mars's surface. The suit included a massive database that the Americans were able to use to advance their technology far beyond that of other nations. Though the U.S.A shared most of its technology with other friendly nations, it kept its new power sources (such as naquida) and space technology to itself. In the year 2089 a religious group known as The Regiment of the Sovereign Order (or just The Regiment) began to unite the Arabic countries together to fight the US. The US was forced to bring out its advanced technology. 100-ton machines laid waste to many countries and naquida-enhanced nukes obliterated many cities. The Arab countries finally surrendered but the modern nations had learned of the USAs lies and secrets. Undercurrents of seething hatred continued to manifest in the formation of many rebellious groups. A third world war was about to begin in 2149 when an event known both as a miracle and a curse happened. The FBI had been ignoring reports for months from America's off-world colonies about an alien fleet attacking and taking hostages. But when a massive alien fleet space folded into orbit around earth they realized that they had made a terrible mistake. The aliens (known as the Gro-nak) had detected the massive energy signature the alien machine's power core gave off as well as the naquida nukes used in the war. Luckily for earth the U.S. had built many satellites with naq-nukes and a device known as a DDC (Dimensional Disrupter Canon) which had been one of the weapons on the machine which came to be known as the "Alpha Battlesuit". Not even the Gro-naks' most powerful plasma canons could compare to the power of the DDC and were forced to retreat. The world's nations all agreed to ally against this new threat and became known as the United Nations Star Command (UNSC). Mankind began to explore space together but was always on guard for another alien assault. By the year 2213, mankind had almost forgotten about the threat of alien invasion and the outer colonies had begun to be less defended, and they returned. Mankind entered into a war that lasted 47 years. Millions died but the UNSC was finally able to win in 2260 and most of the remaining Gro-nak were assimilated into human culture and their gigantic ruling sub-species known as the Kry-Tak was almost completely extinct. 10 years later the Kry-Tak Warlord Grosh'Kanor began a movement known as 2nd Wave. This organization took back the Gro-nak worlds. Grosh had found the remains of their once proud capitol fleet on a moon, which had more than enough powerarmour and Battlesuits for their rebellion. The final battle of this rebellion almost obliterated the human race. Grosh'Kanor had managed to salvage and construct thousands of war ships. Luckily for mankind the pilot of the Alpha, Commander Jonathan Thalis, was able to defeat both Grosh'Kanor and his capitol ship The Ascension at the final battle. With the Gro-nak practically extinct and absolutely no sign of any remaining Kry-Tak, mankind could finally rebuild and recover from the millions who had died in the "final battle of mankind". Unfortunately now that the alien menace had been eradicated, mankind began to bicker amongst themselves once again. In 2335 (25 years after the "final battle of mankind") The Regiment began to form again. General Victor Tagart was enraged by the complete dismissal the UNSC had towards the fanatics and began a rebellion of his own. Tagart's forces and other followers of his beliefs formed their own nation known as the IronPride which struck a huge blow to the stability of the UNSC. In this battle both the Alpha and Commander Thalis were lost. No one knows what happened to them. By the year 2360 almost all the old aces were either too old or dead. It was time for a new generation of Battlesuit pilots to fight for mankind's survival... |
