Happy springtime, JD Fans! Hope everyone is doing well and taking care of themselves. Wow, have the last two months not been exciting? Pine Valley discovers that Leo�s mother Vanessa is Proteus (or is she?) and Leo finds out via Maggie�s deposition that David�s beloved father was not the saint David thought he was. And how NOBLE of Leo to want to shield that info from David � only to end up having to tell him a short time later. David, Leo, Vanessa, and Maggie � what a screwed up family LMAO! But if you think about it, what family in PV doesn�t have a few screws loose? Well - except for the Martins, of course :-) |

A very belated CONGRATS to all who received Daytime Emmy nominations .... unless you've been hiding under a rock for the last two months, you know that our boy Josh has been nominated AGAIN in the Best Supporting Actor category! As a matter of fact, two of his co-stars, Marc Consuelos (Mateo) and Cameron Mathison (Ryan) were also nominated in the same category! Last year, co-star Michael E. Knight (Tad) took home the prize. This year, AMC had the most Emmy nominations with 21. The 29th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards presentation will be held on Friday May 17th from 9 - 11 p.m. EST on your local CBS station. Haven't heard who the host/hostess of this year's event will be - if you know, email me please. Did anyone catch Josh on ED last Wednesday? I'll be danged if I didn't MISS it! I had to unexpectedly work late that night and did not set my VCR to tape it. However, my good friend DixieCup taped it and is sending a copy to me to view STAT! Hopefully I'll have it tomorrow or Tuesday. Every response I've seen so far from fans about his character on ED has been positive. And if TV producers agree with our opinions, don't be surprised to see Josh on primetime in the future on a more permanent basis.
No one knows for sure, but there has been a heck of a lot of speculation on the soap Internet message boards about whether or not Josh will stay on as Leo - his contract runs out later this year. Now it would truly be a bummer to not see him on our TV screens everyday on All My Children but at the same time, we want to see him grow even more as an actor and we know he can! So many actors and actresses got their starts on soaps: Meg Ryan, Ryan Phillipe, Vanessa Marcil, Kim Delaney, just to name a few. Some have even returned to soaps after long hiatus' working on other projects - Tony Geary and Genie Francis come to mind. Sweet Susan Lucci has done both movies and daytime simultaneously in the past ... you just never know what might happen! Should Josh decide not to re-sign, the powers that be would be foolish not to leave the door open for Leo to come back to town. As yet, there are too many unresolved issues with his character ... his father's identity being the biggie, and of course his on again/off again/on again/off again status with Greenlee is another issue. Don't sweat bullets about this ... we'll be seeing Josh a lot in the years to come whether it be on All My Children, a primetime show, or major motion pictures. About a year ago, I did a survey of Josh/Leo fans (just for fun) to see what classic movie character they thought Josh would be best suited to play in a possible movie remake. Read JanOnJosh: Beyond Leo du Pres for their responses. They are quite interesting!
