Season�s greetings, JD Fans! Hard to believe the 2001 holiday season is already here. Where did this year go? In spite of how much money that is spent each holiday season (and I�m a big contributor to the holiday spending LOL!!) it�s my favorite time of the year. And in light of the tragic events of September 11, this holiday season takes on a special significance. As you are all traveling to your relatives� houses for holiday dinners, or if you�re having a group over to celebrate the season, make sure you don�t part company without saying �I love you� or hugging everyone. This is the time of year where we should all count our blessings, and to hope for even more in the year to come.
First things first, HAPPY 29th BIRTHDAY TO JOSH! I see a lot of you posted birthday greetings over at the message board for our favorite actor. In case you haven�t, click here � hey, better late than never! The official birthday is November 14, but you can post a greeting anytime you want to over at the message board! And speaking of that, a few weeks ago I had the privilege of chatting in one of the message board chat rooms with several JD fans. I encourage you guys to chat in there a lot more often! The rooms are there for you 24-7 � no charge to go in there to talk about the best actor in daytime TV!! If you�re interested in a chat, post a message over in the appropriate folder and see what happens :-) Even more exciting is the fact that Josh has posted a few messages over at the message board over the last few weeks. Make sure to check there often � you never know when you just might find something he�s posted!
I have heard nothing but rave reviews about everyone�s experience at SSW this year! As anyone who�s met Josh can tell you, you will never walk away disappointed after meeting Josh. The man definitely cares about each and every one of his fans. Heck, I don�t need to tell you guys that � you already know ;-) The Fan of the Month picture this month is from SSW and it�s really cute!! Most things I�ve heard from SSW have been positive but as always, there are incidents that should never happen and this year was no exception. Imagine this: you are at a party, oblivious to all around you except for the funky music playing in the background and the stale hors d� oeuvres you have in hand, when suddenly out of no where someone you�ve never met comes up and starts trying to kiss you and pinch you, etc etc. � you get the idea. No fun, right? You don�t even know this person!! However, he says he knows YOU and has seen you at several parties, and has been dying to give you a big ol� smooch for the longest time. It�s STILL no excuse for that kind of behavior! I�m sure everyone that reads this article would never do such a thing but it bears repeating: accosting one�s favorite star is a big NO NO. Now I'm not talking about hugging, or even a light peck on the check (if permission is granted from the star). Yes, they�re in the spotlight and by nature get treated differently but they are still human beings and should be treated as such. During this past year, we had a wonderful guest columnist here by the name of SEAHAAS write a humorous, yet on-the-mark article about Fan Do�s and Don�ts. Something you guys may or may not be aware of is the situation going on with fan mail at all the studios. Because of the anthrax scares, you can bet mail is being scrutinized more than ever this year. My recommendation is that you send Josh and all your other favorite stars post cards wishing them happy holidays. The likelihood of this getting to the star is far greater than if you send a package. There�s just too much mess going on these days and I don�t blame the studios one bit for doing everything they can to protect their employees.
All you Leo and Greens fans must be over the moon about what has happened this week on All My Children! Looks like your favorite couple may have a few happy moments on the horizon. Before you start celebrating this holiday reunion, let�s not forget about Jake. Weren�t the scenes with Leo standing under that spray of water fabulous?? The message I got out of that was that Leo was �cleansing himself� of that crazy Laura du Pres!!
I've received several interesting emails over the last couple of months about a "Who's the dad" storyline for Leo - looks like a lot of you want to see this storyline as much as I do! Here is what some fans had to say:
"I think they will bring someone we've never seen before. Someone new and fresh and goodlooking. The tall, dark and handsome type who will probably be a real jerk. I think they should definately find Leo's father. And if and when they do, we may see a side of Leo we've never seen. And more of that great acting that we love so much of. He's a great actor - thats what makes him so amazing. I kinda miss the old Leo, funny and wild. I hope he comes back one day. And how the writers stopped having the great friendship of Leo and Bianca - what happened? Maybe if the father come, Leo will become cold and distant. Lets hope Leo is going through a stage and he will come back and one way of having him back is if they bring Leo and Greens back together." -Beachbunny
"Personally, I don't want Adam to be the father of Leo ~ it seems like Adam has been just about everyone's father on the show! I was intrigued with the idea of Roger Smythe being his papa when Roger arrived in Pine Valley and it became known to us that he and 'Nessa used to be an item - or knew each other. Of course, that would be bad news for Leo and Greenlee fans, but then who says Greenlee is really Roger's daughter? Oh, the possibilities!" -RaisinKane
