Children brought me a very young piggie and that s how my love for guinea pigs started. I owned tessels and later rexen and showed and bred them. The best winning boar I ad was a tessel boar Anton, picured below. He also had a very good caracter. He gave me 2 daughters and they died last year at het age of 6- and 7 years. On a show I saw the rexbreed with their wire upstanding hairs and so a few rexes came to my house. The only two I have left now are ex show boars. two males, and although both male they are friends, Apollo in black and white and Sam in red and white. When it s not raining they "graze"in the aviary and help me to keep the grass short. They are also very fond of winegrapes leaves and branches ! At june 2006 Sam died suddenly and since I dont like pets in cages all alone I got a new mate for him, it s also a rex, a 3 coloured male and I called him HAPPY. Update and pictures will soon come here.
