History

My involvement in Briards begain in 1968. I acquired my first Briard in AM.|CAN. CH. UTHER BIJOU DE STRATHCONA HOF from the United States. This fine bitch was followed by an Irish import bitch CAN. CH. O'Brian Suzette Michelinne. Finally, these two bitches were joined by my wonderful foundation sire AM.|CAN. CH. Phydeaux Windfall AM.|CAN. CD ROM, HOF - a finely bred dog on the old "de Vasouy" line from France.

I have attempted to preserve this old French line in its purest form while blending fresh bloodstock to continually improve upon the past while maintaining the original appearance of this ancient French breed and line.

These endeavours have been rewarded by both American and European judges in the show ring. We presented Canada's first ever Best in Show Briard and are the first Canadian Breeder to produce an American National Specialty Best of Breed winner.

Careful attention has been paid to the issues of clear hips, clear eyes, SNB (Stationary Night Blindness) and other known inherited health concerns to minimize the effect of these defects on this breed.
