Among the Rocks
I wait
with heaven
in its shadowed light
so few can see
this perch
among the mountain tops
of night

Fly,
you fortunes horses,
from horizons
of the waking world,
crested fur
and burning hoof
and nostrils
blowing dreams to earth

Show the speed
of love unfolding
over moonstruck peaks,
trace the path
of passion
growing,
run
to where
the lovers meet!

Find the circle
lit
and who shall
sit
with me,
sublime
among the rocks,
till daylight comes
and falls
and comes again
beyond the end of time

The Voice of Badger Pass
The Voice:
     Hear my trumpet clear
     ore pallisades of rock
     see the future
     come to thee
     a portion
     of this lovliness,
     so hard,
     so fresh,
     is part of
     you and me

The Pilgrim:
     I come here
     with these pilgrims
     in answer
     to your sound

The Voice:
     it wails
     and roars
     and whispers
     through the aeons,
     through my door
     to you
     my love, upon the ground
     come, play with me
and so
delight the mountians here!
the sky,
reflecting infinite repose
and
unending symmetry
Quiet now
you mortal spirits!
listen,
there is heaven here
time enough
for hell
and troubled business
to clear-
one moment is enough
my love,
one true surrender
saves the world!
To this, my beauties
give yourselves
and it shall
hold you,
lift you,
send you
home again
with something new
