What is being Called Out?

Ive used the term called out for several reasons. Its what best describes what happened to me. I believe that God was present and by my side my entire life, calling my name even though I was trapped in sin. When I finally listened to that calling, it wasnt by my strength that I left the homosexual lifestyle, but it was by Gods grace alone. Left by myself, I could never have done it, but God sent the right people at the right times to help me find my way back to Him.
Scripturally, called out is loosely based on I Peter 2:9, which says, But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.
Many homosexuals use the pop culture term, coming out of the closet, to descibe when they publicly announced that they were homosexual. To my knowledge, however, there is currently no term to describe someone who has publicly left homosexuality. I would like to suggest that someone who has left homosexuality has been called out into love.
