As I confessed on the front page, I am finding myself hard pressed to get over to this site to update. Not that I feel throngs of people have been tossing and turning at night wondering when I'm going to get around to it. But, FYI I've decided to combine this area, for the most part, with my Blog over at my writing site, lisalogan.net. THAT site gets updated...well, more often than this one, anyway. Clients come first!

1/9/05 Here I am, ranting about rain on the main page and I come here to find my last "update" here over two years ago was about floods in our house! Nice to see the more things change, the more they stay the same. We're hoping to be able to move out of this leaky Love Boat of ours before it becomes the Yellow Submarine. <sigh>

11/9/02 Boy our first storm of the season is here and we've got a nice flood going in the bedroom. So I type over the noise of the giant fans blowing to dry our carpet and walls. School is in full swing, and Mike has returned full time as well to pursue his Theater Arts degree. His first play, in which he played the lead villain, was such a success his directors invited him to join Redlands Theater Festival, the local performing troupe.

Hard to believe the holidays are upon us again. I haven't even started shopping this year!

6/14/02 Summer is here again. Lisa is back home from college, I've just started my journey towards a degree, Chris moved to the Santa Clarita area to find work, and the younger kids just finished school. Summers tend to be even busier at our house than the school year, with all the comings and goings, Amanda's upcoming birthday, conventions, 4th of July, and all that. Time to really fly!

5/8/02 I can't believe we are celebrating our 2nd wedding anniversary this week! Time sure flies. Chris is back to work now and we're grateful that his surgery went so well. It was a disappointment to learn that with the metal pins now in place he no longer qualifies for entrance into the Air Force, but with all the unrest going on perhaps there was a reason for this.

12/26/01 Christmas has come and gone and I worked the Eve and Xmas day but we still managed to have a fun celebration! We had a big holiday breakfast and opened presents before work. I was fortunate in getting to see all six of the kids at some time or another during Christmas Day! Now we're busy getting ready for our trip to San Jose to visit with Michael's family over the New Year.

12/3/01 Well last week was an interesting one. I was sick for most of it, then tried to get up to help decorate the Christmas tree and blew out my knee. (I've been re-nicknamed Wounded Knee.) I had to miss the local Christmas Parade but Mike was nice enough to take lots of digital pictures! Today it's back to work, hobbling along as best I can for an old woman with a bum leg. Never a dull moment in SchiffbauerLand!

11/23/01 Happy Thanksgiving everyone! We had a magical time this year--went to Disneyland and had a great time seeing their holiday displays and fireworks--they even made it "snow"! Harry Potter was another recent magical moment--I highly recommend it! On Turkey day we celebrated with friends and family. Sadly, my 3-day holiday from work is over tomorrow and it's back to real life!

11/7/01 Finally! This web site is ready to upload. I'd been putting this off for years because there was always "something else" to do instead. Go figure, with six kids, a husband, a job, and several side aspirations that I couldn't squeeze in one more thing? Oh well.

I am so excited that the holidays are upon as again! We actually managed to do much of our shopping ahead of time this year so I'll be able to spend more time enjoying activities. And speaking of which, It's nearly 2 a.m. so I'd better wrap this up, start the upload process, and hit the sack! Gotta work tomorrow!

Feng Shui-we're doing this a lot at my house right now and it's making an amazing difference. Placing fountains and things in a particular way is believed to maximize energies and serenity.
