Our time in Wiggins was uneventful, unless, in good British tradition we mention the weather.  We've both seen thunder storms before but none have been comparable to the one we experienced in Wiggins.
The first hint that something major was about to happen was a knock on the door by the Ranger, telling us that things were going to get hairy.  He was not wrong.  For two hours we watched the most amazing storm we have ever seen.  The wind tore branches off the trees, the rain lashed down, the thunder clapped deafeningly overhead and bolts of lightening zig-zagged across the night sky.

The calm before the storm...
The storm was both awesome and terrifying.  Only the next day did we learn that there had been a tornado warning put out for the Wiggins area.  Fortunately the tornado passed us by.  Georgia was not so lucky. Five people died that night when a tornado struck their town.

That was not our only brush with a tornado. On route to Vicksberg we outran one by minutes.  That night we were very happy to reach Battleground RV Park in Vicksberg, still in one piece.
