Whilst we had been in New Mexico both Asia and Indie had to visit the Vets.  Indie's problem still hadn't cleared up properly so Liz decided to take her to another Vets in Tuscon.  After a couple of days rest and recuperation we headed towards Phoenix.

Once there, Liz and I went out in a suberb called Scottsdale, a fake olde western town which is notable only for its pretenciousness.  Liz and I tried to get a drink but were refused admission to the bar as Liz only had her driving license with her and they only recognised Passports.  After retrieving her passport, we decided that all five of us would go out only to dicover that dogs weren't allowed even on the carpark next to the bar.  In frustration we returned back to the RV completely sober.  NOTE Although the legal drinking age in the US is 21, bar staff are required by law to ask anyone who appears to be under the age of 30 for ID.  Carry your Passport with you at all times as you won't even be allowed in the bar without it.

After only a day in Phoenix we headed back out into the wilderness, this time to the Petrified Forest and Painted Desert National Park.
