Firedancer carries some very old bloodlines. She is what is called a Gainey type Arabian. That prepotent, fixed "type" is still prevalent in the Azraff/Ferzon-bred horses now multipe generations removed. These horses are the brain child of Daniel Gainey, Frank McCoy, Jimmy Dean and Bazy Tankersley. Firedancer has so many lines to Raffles though sons and daughters. She has bloodlines to Davenports along with, so many lines to Skowronek. There are not many five-gaited Arabians, they are very rare. Firedancer has one in her pedigree. The Raseyn son Ronek. The mare Moneyna was famous for her many performances with out any kind of head or neck attachment. The Al-Marah Arabians still carry a high percent of Indraff blood.Firedancers bloodlines are a look back into a wonderful history of the Arabian horses in the United States and beyond. For a long time you didn't hear much about these bloodlines but they are making a come back in a big way. . Firedancer is a high stepping showy horse with the build to do anything. Due to injuries as a young mare I am sorry to say she was never shown because of the scares. However, someone forgot to tell her she isn't a show horse because when you ride her she puts on a show for everyone around. She has a extended trot you would die for. I only use her as a trail horse and broodmare.. She was ridden as a 5 yr old and not rode again until I got her in 2008. She still remember everything. She is a pleasure to ride. She rides western but she is a natural English horse through and through. We are excited to see the wonderful cross she is going to make with our stallion Thee Vision. |
