| Registered Purebred Arabian Mare 3/4 Davenport-1/4 Egyptian Arabian Diomede X Star Beshara Straight Davenport 1/2 Davenport-1/2 Egyptian Foal date - 11/20/84 Sara as we call her was our foundation mare. She has been with us since she was 4 years old. She was my best friend. NO one met her without falling in love with her. She had the mildest dispostion you will ever find in a horse. She passed on her dispostion to all her foals. She would put up with anything. Adopted everything we put in the field with her as her baby and usually it wasn't even another horse. She was always the lead mare and she kept everyone in line including Vision, our stallion. I could put a small child on her and never have to worry. I have been down under her feet wrestling with her foals to doctor them and she never moved. She even let chickens ride on her back while she walked around grazing in the field.. She gave us unconditional love and never asked for anything in return but kindness. She was always there when I needed a shoulder without judgement with ears listening. And kindness and concern in her eyes. I hope everyone gets the chance to experince that kind of love at least once in thier life. It will stay with you for ever She wasn't a horse she was a family member! She is truely one of a kind. November 20, 1984 - October 11, 2007 Rest In Peace my old friend. You will be greatly missed. You gave us a life time of memories. |
