You left us on an August evening.
You left us so suddenly.
My heart couldn't grasp you were no longer here,
I'm so lost without you, McGee
You seemed so fine in the morning.
Then at three you turned down some roast beef.
I knew there was something so wrong with you then...
Now I'm still here in disbelief
No dog to sit along beside me.
No one to take for all those walks.
No one to bark when it's time to get brushed,
Or listen to my long talks.
I know how much you missed Fonzi.
I tried to never leave you alone.
And now I'm the one here without you,
With no "Puppy" to share my home.
It's been 8 long years since I've seen you.
And petted and nuzzled your face.
There's no "Puppy" that lives with us anymore...
No one ever could take your place.
