Are the sound of your nails, as they click on my floor.
Are your eyes, that I always loved to see.
Is filling your bowl, at feeding time
Is my friend, who was always there for me
You will be at Christmas, and Birthdays, as you were such a part of my life.
Is that little protruding tooth, that I was always so afraid to hurt.
Is your bark, that told me you wanted to come in.
Is the sound Kiki made, as you came into the room at night.
Is McGee's friend, companion, and "mother".
Is the sound of myself saying that I have 2 dogs.
Is the sound of your collar, as you walked.
Is the voice I gave you.
Is the love you gave to me.
Are your "wings", and your happy smiling face.
Is your squeaky toy on the top of the refrigerator.
Are you, every morning at brushing time.
Is all the time it took to feed you. What do I do with it all now?
Is touching you, and petting you, and the feel of your fur.
Is cleaning your eyes every day.
Are the special meals I made for you.
Is my purpose for getting up each day.
Is the way you needed me, and I needed you.
Are all the times we'll spend together.
Is your walking in the yard. Soon the grass will grow back on the path you made,
and it will be as if you were never here.
Is the joy I got from knowing when you had to go out, and telling you you were such a good boy.
Is the "family" we all were together.
Is seeing you sprawled out on your side on the floor,and looking so content.
Is my feeling now of wholeness. I'm so empty now inside.
Is the security I got from just knowing that you were there.
Is your bothering the cats, and always cleaning their ears.
Is the special care I had to give you. And the satisfaction I got from knowing that I made a difference in your life.
Is hearing myself say your name, and calling you.
Are a thousand other things you did, and would have done, had you lived.
Is seeing McGee always lying near you.
Are you, and all you were, and all you gave me.
Missed you will always be, for no one else could replace you in my heart...
