| GEX | They sell junk aircooled VW engines. The stock rebuilds are sometimes ok (with luck) but almost all the high performance engines are crap. They are built using OLD parts, but they charge you for NEW parts. Not many people bother to open the engine to check. ALSO, they don't know how to properly ASSEMBLE the engines. Parts are missing, and installed wrong, and also wrong parts are used. Nothing short of a total rebuild AGAIN would ensure long life for these engines. With some incredible luck, you can get ONE decent engine out of maybe a dozen. The ratio of positive buyer reports against negative. There's no doubt, these people BOTH cheat AND don't know (or care) how to put these engines together right. |
| VWoA 10/2000 | Volkswagen of America is hunting down private enthusiast websites, requesting that the owners take the site down due to copyright infringement. VWoA is threatening webmasters with legal actions unless they agree to kill their site. All because VWoA doesn't want us to use the VW logo or the words VW, Bug, Beetle, Volkswagen, etc.etc.etc on our websites. It's crazy, they are treating their loyal fans badly just because some dipshit in their legal department wants to look good. They left the brains home for sure. I sent VW AG an email complaining about the situation. READ my letter to VW of GERMANY They DID reply to my email, but it took a good while and basically they shoved the responsibility to VWoA. Read VW AG's reply When Sally Eberle, (Of VWoA Public Relations) was confronted by Bill Berckman with this same question, she said it was something that VW of Germany requested them to do.. NOBODY is ready to take the responsibility! I have something cooking in my head that may or may not help the situation, more info will be posted here later. |
