Title: Step Towards the End
Author: Jami Lynn
Chapter: 6
Disclaimer: I don't own any of the wrestlers used in this story, 'cause if I did, I'd be busy with them right now *grin*. But I do own Jami, for she is me. Tasha owns herself. (Heaven help the person who tries to claim he/she owns either of us). This is the sequel to "Take That Step" , "One Step Back" and "one Step Forward" you'll find the addresses to those stories in my signature at the bottom of this email. And I use the wrestlers wrestling names in the story, JUST DEAL WIT IT! And don't bother suing me...all you'd get is a half eaten ham sandwich and a bag of chips from 2 years ago.
Distribution: Ask me if you can use it, more than likely I will say yes.
Rating: So far, it's a PG-13
Content: Nothing bad as of yet, probably won't be anything to bad either....maybe some cussing.
Spoilers: Um...anything can happen and I'm just writing as I go, so I don't know yet *L*.
Summary: The guys are suspicious of the girls motives. Which can only lead to one thing....an emotional breakdown. But of who?
Feedback: I need feedback like I need air! So give it to me, babee!

Jami, Tasha, and Lita were calmly sitting in their locker room, waiting for what they knew was to come. And they weren't about to be disappointed.
Their locker room door flew open and Jeff, Matt and Edge stalked inside. THey women looked up at them expectantedly. "You joined up with Shane." Edge accused. "Yes, and you joined up with Stephanie." Lita stated. THe stare down continued.
"Did you guys stomp in here to remind us of what faction we had joined?" Jami asked. "No, we came here to find out why you betrayed us by choosing Shane's faction." Jeff said.
"You guys know just as well as we do that everyone chose their factions without knowing who was in the other factions." Tasha reminded them. "Yeah, but it seems pretty odd that you all decided to join with Shane." Jeff said. "And what is that suppose to mean?" Jami asked.
The guys remained silent for a few moments. "What does BLADE stand for anyway?" Edge asked. "Bitchy, Lethal, Ass-kickin', Divas, Extreme." Tasha answered.
"well, you have the Bitchy part right." Edge muttered. "We have the rest right too. Want us to prove it, 'cause your mouth is about to get you a lethal ass-kickin'." Tasha pushed.
"Oh really?" Edge mocked. "You are definately asking for a lethal ass kickin' boy! Just keep it coming!" Lita threatened. "Oh yeah, you think you can kick our asses?" Matt asked. "Without any doubt." Lita answered. A staredown resumed, the only sound were sounds coming from the outside.
Jami remained seated on the couch, Jeff was standing a few feet from her. Jami's face was hidden in the palms of her hands, her dark brown hair covered any of her face that might have been showing. Everyone could hear her drawing deep, ragged breaths in time to the fans "what" chants that could be heard from the arena.
Jeff remained standing tall and straight, a facade covering his usual emotional face. He was slowly breathing in and out, trying to keep any emotion under control.
Lita, Matt, Edge and Tasha turned towards them in one, slow, fluid movement, knowing something important was about to happen, but not wanting to break the fragility of the moment.
Eyes watched as Jami's face slowly rose from the safety of her palms. She turned her face up, towards Jeff, her eyes closed. Everything seemed to be happening in slow motion.
Jami's eyes slowly opened and the unshed tears were shining brightly in her otherwise now dull brown eyes. Her fingers gently curled so her fingertips touched her palms, as if she was hoping to feel some sort of comfort coming from her own body.
Jami's eyes carefully searched Jeff's green ones, looking deeper into his eyes then either was comfortable with. Jami slowly blinked, her long lashes jsut barely meeting her bottom lashes before her eyes turned towards Edge. She repeated the intense gaze with him, until he became uncomfortable and looked away.
Jami's eyes then focused on Matt's. At first he seemed to fight her gaze before finally letting her eyes probe his intensley. Matt knew what she was looking for, and knew she wouldn't find it. And she didn't, the look of defeat show'd on her features as her eyes traveled over all three men.
THen she bent her head slightly down, as if trying to decide what she would do next, if she could handle what might come next.
