Title: Learning the Steps
Author: Jami Lynn
Chapter: 4
Disclaimer: I don't own any of the wrestlers used in this story, 'cause if I
did, I'd be busy with them right now *grin*. But I do own Jami, for she is me.
Tasha owns herself. (Heaven help the person who tries to claim he/she owns
either of us). Charity and Mags also own themselves and if you try to take them
you will burn in hell! This is the next story in the Step series...it's the
Matt/Lita sequel. And the address to the stories is at the bottom of this email.
And I use the wrestlers wrestling names in the story, JUST DEAL WIT IT! And
don't bother suing me...all you'd get is a half eaten ham sandwich and a bag of
chips from 2 years ago.
Distribution: Ask me if you can use it, more than likely I will say yes.
Rating: So far, it's a PG-13
Content: Nothing bad as of yet, probably won't be anything to bad
either....maybe some cussing.
Spoilers: Um...anything can happen and I'm just writing as I go, so I don't know
yet *L*.
Summary: How lucky can you get? Jeff is just about to find out
Feedback: I need feedback like I need air! So give it to me, babee! I have been
suffocating lately....so please, send in the feedback.

Jami was sitting in the locker room, tying her show extremely slowly. Finally
she stood and looked herself over in the full length mirror. She was wearing a
pair of dark blue Fubu jeans with a silver glitter belt around her hips. Her
shirt was just a simple, red, baby tee. Her hair was pulled back and under a
purple Hardyz hat.
Jami was definately taking her time before leaving to find Lita and Tasha
because she knew that Jeff would be there. Finally she left the locker room.
Jami smiled as her friend, and RVD's girlfriend, Charity walked up next to her.
"Going for the guys locker room?" Charity asked. Jami nodded.
"Mind if I walk with you? I'm suppose to ride with Stephanie but she has
some last minute paperwork, which is rather boring to watch." Charity
explained.
"Sure, but I can't promise anything much more exciting." Jami smiled.
"That's okay. At least I can talk with you as we walk. Stephanie wants
complete and total silence when she works." Charity grinned.
"So, how are you and Rob doing?" Jami asked. "Great. I think he
might decide to propose soon." Charity beamed. "No shit? Wow! I'm so
thrilled for you! Holy Cow! When? Dish!" Jami commanded, stopping in her
tracks.
"Well, he's been hinting around to marriage things lately. Like building a
house for us to live in together when we aren't on the road. He knows I won't
move in with him until we are married. Then he was trying to subtly get my ring
size. I'm pretty sure that it will happen soon." Charity said. Jami hugged
Charity, totally happy for her friend.

Jeff left the locker room and was headed down one of the hallways, not
completely sure where he was going. As he rounded a corner for what felt like
the twenty third time he was ready to admit he was extremely lost. Up the hall a
door opened and Terri Runnels stepped into the hallway. Stacy Keibler was right
behind her and the two were laughing together.
Terri's eyes caught Jeff and she raised an eyebrow in Stacy's direction before
calling out to Jeff. "Hey Jeff, what are you up to?" Terri asked.
"Um, I'm looking for Jami's locker room...and I'm lost." Jeff
admitted, confused.
Terri and Stacy both tended to steer clear of Matt, Edge and himself. They
didn't want to risk the wrath of Jami, Lita, and tasha. The three women had no
trust in Terri or Stacy, especially since Terri and Stacy had made it more than
obvious they wanted to ruin Jami, Lita and Tasha's lives. So in turn they tended
to stay away from Jeff, Matt and Edge.
"We can walk you over there." Stacy offered with a smile. "Um,
yeah...I guess that would be cool." Jeff said uncertainly. Each woman
linked arms with Jeff.
"So, Jeff...things aren't going to well with Ms. Blade, are they?"
Stacy asked, the tiniest hint of a smirk on her face. Jeff jerked to a stop,
looking at Stacy. "What I was saying is that things don't look so
puuuuuurrrrrrfect in the perfect couples life." Stacy said, rolling the
words off her tongue.
"Jeff, babe, we are only trying to help you. We hate to see you hurt."
Terri pouted. Jeff began walking again. "Things will be just fine. We've
had a few rough times lately, but we love each other. We'll make it through
this." Jeff said, sounding like he was trying to convince himself more than
anyone else.
"Poor Jeff. I feel sorry for you. You really do believe in all this true
love stuff, don't you? Truth is...it just doesn't exist." Terri said,
plastering a fake look of pity on her face.
"our love is true." Jeff weakly responded. "oh please, you two
have spent more time fighting and being apart then you have been together."
Stacy sneered.

Jami slowly walked down the halls, thinking about what she could say to Jeff to
let him know she still loved him. That she wanted to be with him. Jami rounded a
corner that put her in the hallway leading to the guys locker room. Charity
wasn't walking with her anymore, as she had decided to go find Rob and spend
time with him before she left with Stephanie.
Jami reached the locker room door and barged in. She saw Lita, Matt, Edge and
Tasha sitting in the room. "Where's Jeff?" Jami asked as she sat down
on the floor of the locker room. "he actually went looking for you."
Edge said.
Jami's eyes widened slightly in suprise. "Oh...well, we must have just
missed each other. I'd be better off staying in one place and waiting for him to
wander this way rather then going and looking for him." Jami laughed,
"I might get lost."
