Title: Not So Angelic
Author: Jami Lynn
Chapter: 33
Disclaimer: I don't own any of the wrestlers used in this story, 'cause if I did, I'd be busy with them right now *grin*. But I do own Jami, for she is me. Tasha owns herself. (Heaven help the person who tries to claim he/she owns either of us).  And I use the wrestlers wrestling names in the story, JUST DEAL WIT IT! And don't bother suing me...all you'd get is a half eaten ham sandwich and a bag of chips from 2 years ago.
Distribution: Ask me if you can use it, more than likely I will say yes.
Rating: So far, it's a PG-13
Content: Nothing bad as of yet, probably won't be anything to bad either....maybe some cussing.
Spoilers: Um...anything can happen and I'm just writing as I go, so I don't know yet *L*.

Jaylynn shifted her weight from one foot to the other nervously. "Would you cut it out. You're beginning to act like Brock Lesnar on his way to the ring." Shane mumbled. "I can't help it. I'm in a dress! A dress for God's Sakes! And I'm going to be in the same room as some of the top names in the business. Who else from the wrestling world will be there?" Jaylynn asked.

"Dwayne Johnson and his wife Dani will be there. But he's sort of a cross-over man for movies and wrestling. Steve Williams and Debra will be there, and let me say this, my father wants to kill him." Shane grinned.

The limo pulled up and Shane escorted Jaylynn to it. Once inside the limo, Jaylynn's nerves settled down. "I'm not going to have to dance or anything, am I?" Jaylynn asked. "Probably not. And if they do ask us to I'll just say you sprained your ankle last night." Shane replied devilishly.

***

Jaylynn peered through the window of the limo at the crowd of fans lining the entrance to the building. "Look at all these people." she whispered. "Don't get nervous. Most of them won't have a clue as to who you are. They are more interested in the actors and actresses." Shane laughed. Jaylynn elbowed him, "Funny. They are going to be like, 'Whose the chick with the stud monkey'."

"Monkey?" Shane laguhed. "yes, you are a monkey if I saw you are a monkey. And I say you are a monkey." Jaylynn deadpanned.

"Did I mention that you look wonderful. Absolutely beautiful. Breathtaking." Shane whispered in her ear. "Okay, what do you want?" Jaylynn asked.

"Nothing. I just sort of neglected to mention one person who might be here tonight." Shane said, looking guilty as sin. "And who might that be?" Jaylynn asked.

Shane mumbled something and Jaylynn had to ask him to repeat himself. "My soon to be ex-wife Marissa and whoever her stud monkey is." Shane said. "Why will she be here?" Jaylynn asked.

"Because...well, until the divorce is final, which will hopefully be soon, she's still a McMahon. And all the McMahon's were invited." Shane said regretfully.

Jaylynn felt her body tense as the limo finally pulled up to let them make their walk to the building. Shane exited first and then Jaylynn followed. She had to remind herself to raise her skirt up just enough so it wouldn't get car dust on it and to keep her knees together to prevent the crowd from getting a peep show.

Camera's flashed in her face and Jaylynn thought she might dive back into the limo, but then Shane's arm encircled her waist and he whispered, "Smile." Jaylynn smiled brightly toward camera flashes, hoping she didn't look stupid.

Shane led her over to where a cameraman stood with a woman yielding a microphone. "Shane McMahon, can we ask you a few questions?" Shane nodded and the woman began. "The WWE's ratings have been slowly pulling out of a slump. What do you contribute that to?" she asked.

"The effort of every talent on the WWE roster. They've worked hard to make the product something we can all be proud of." Shane answered, shooting her a patented McMahon grin.

"Is this one of the talents?" the woman asked, gesturing towards Jaylynn. "yes, this is Jaylynn Emerson, one of the Diva's taking the world by storm." Shane answered.

The woman smiled fakely at Jaylynn before turning back to Shane. "Where's your beautiful wife, Marissa, tonight?" she asked. Jaylynn felt Shane tense up next to her, and the hand on her hip dug into the bone with so much pressure that she had to bite her tongue to keep from yelping.

"Marissa, my hopefully soon to be ex-wife, will be here with her date before long, I'm sure. Now if you'll excuse us." Shane said as he led Jaylynn off in the direction of the doors.

"Can you stop trying to break my hip now please." Jaylynn whispered through gritted teeth. "Oh God, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to hurt you." Shane said, looking at her with a pitiful look.

"It's okay. You're nervous about seeing Marissa, aren't you?" She asked. Shane guiltily nodded. "It's okay." jaylynn smiled. "But I do think we should talk about this later though." she added.
