Title: An Angel Gets Her Wings
Author: Jami Lynn
Chapter: 12
Disclaimer: I don't own any of the wrestlers used in this story, 'cause if I
did, I'd be busy with them right now *grin*. But I do own Jami, for she is me.
Tasha owns herself. (Heaven help the person who tries to claim he/she owns
either of us). And I use the wrestlers
wrestling names in the story, JUST DEAL WIT IT! And don't bother suing me...all
you'd get is a half eaten ham sandwich and a bag of chips from 2 years ago.
Distribution: Ask me if you can use it, more than likely I will say yes.
Rating: So far, it's a PG-13
Content: Nothing bad as of yet, probably won't be anything to bad
either....maybe some cussing.
Spoilers: Um...anything can happen and I'm just writing as I go, so I don't know
yet *L*.

Jaylynn nervously turned her car into a
hotel parking lot. She was there on her day off because the next day she would
watch CharLee and Paul Heyman tie the knot. Everyone would be there. Jeff,
Angela, Shane and she would be smack dap in the middle of it all.
Jaylynn grabbed her bags and entered the hotel lobby. Her mind was far away from
where she was, and she crashed into another body. Startled, she looked up and
her brown eyes were met by the warm brown eyes of Shane McMahon. "Hi." Jaylynn
whispered, unsure this wasn't some weird dream. "Hey. You okay? I didn't mean to
run you down." Shane M. asked.
Jaylynn nodded. "Uh...yeah. I wasn't watching where I was going. Sorry What are
you doing here?" Jaylynn found herself asking rather rudely. "I'm here for the
wedding. My whole family was invited. You know, a business invite." Shane M.
explained.
Jaylynn nodded, fidgeting slightly, unsure of what to say to the ex-love of her
life who had at one time in the not so distant past tried to kill her in a
drunken rage. "Are you excited about seeing Paul and CharLee tie the knot?"
Shane M. asked. Jaylynn shifted from one foot to the other. "Yes, of course.
They make the perfect couple. It makes me sick." Jaylynn found herself smiling.
Shane grinned. "I wanted to let you know that I'm getting help for my anger. I
know its to late for us, but I wanted you to know." Shane told her, leaning in
and kissing her gently on the cheek. He walked away and Jaylynn found herself
turning around to watch him go in stunned silence.

Jaylynn sipped a flute of champaign as she watched her friends mingle in the
hotel's party room. CharLee and Paul were making the next two days a giant party
with a wedding thrown in. CharLee stood in the center of the room, dressed in a
long, black, sparkling evening gown, her long dark hair nearly touching the
floor with glitter sparkling from it. Paul stood next to her, dressed in a pair
of dress slacks, a white dress shirt and a dark suit jacket. They made the
oddest looking couple, but that's what made it work so well.
Jaylynn leaned against the bar watching everyone. Paul Lvesque stood talking
with his fiance Stephanie McMahon, her brother Shane, and their parents Linda
and Vince. Trish Stratus, AMy DUmas, Stacy Keibler, Torrie Wilson and Angela all
fussed over what they were all wearing.
"You look like you're having fun." she heard a male voice whisper into her ear.
Jaylynn turned and her stomach fluttered. Jeff stood there, grinning at her. He
was dressed in a pair of khaki dress pants, a tan sweater, his blonde hair tied
back at the nape of his neck.
"Hey, you look very nice tonight." Jaylynn grinned. Jeff chuckled. "Yeah,
CharLee told me that I had to look normal so that I didn't upstage her. You look
great." Jeff grinned.
Jaylynn glanced down at her own outfit. She wore a lavender halter dress that
stopped a few good inches above her knee. The dress was light and flowing,
swishing whenever she moved her hips. "Thanks. I wasn't sure what to wear. I'm
not use to these sort of parties." Jaylynn confessed. "Well, you look wonderful.
I was hoping that later we could talk. I need to tell you something." Jeff said.
"Okay, sure. Do you want to meet me at the hotel bar in an hour?" Jaylynn asked.
"okay, I'll be there. For now I'm going to go talk to Paul and CharLee. I'll see
you later." Jeff said, grinning before he left her side.
