Title: Even Angels Fall
Author: Jami Lynn
Chapter: 9
Disclaimer: I don't own any of the wrestlers used in this story, 'cause if I did, I'd be busy with them right now *grin*. But I do own Jami, for she is me. Tasha owns herself. (Heaven help the person who tries to claim he/she owns either of us).  And I use the wrestlers wrestling names in the story, JUST DEAL WIT IT! And don't bother suing me...all you'd get is a half eaten ham sandwich and a bag of chips from 2 years ago.
Distribution: Ask me if you can use it, more than likely I will say yes.
Rating: So far, it's a PG-13
Content: Nothing bad as of yet, probably won't be anything to bad either....maybe some cussing.
Spoilers: Um...anything can happen and I'm just writing as I go, so I don't know yet *L*.
Summary: New Story
Feedback: I need feedback like I need air! So give it to me, babee!

Shane McMahon hailed a taxi outside of the Raliegh, North Carolina airport late the next night. He tugged the tan bucket hat lower on his head, hoping that no one would recognize him. He slouched down in the backseat of the cab, grateful that the air trip was over.

It had taken him hours to get a seat on a flight to Raleigh. Finally, 300 extra dollars was paid to a couple to give up their tickets on a flight. He ended up paying 500 plus dollars in the hopes that Jaylynn was at her apartment, just not answering her phone.

The cab pulled up in front of Jaylynn's apartment and his heart sunk when he saw that there were no lights on. "Shit." Shane uttered. "Sir?" the cab driver asked.

"Oh, um, wait here please. I'll be right back." Shane said, getting out of the ar. He approached her place slowly. He knocked on the door and waited. A woman poked her head out of the place next door.

"Can I help you?" she asked in a southern twang. "Ah, I am looking for Jaylynn Emerson. Do you know if she's been here lately?" Shane asked, turning on the McMahon charm.

"Well, she hasn't been here for quite sometime." The woman replied, looking at him suspiciously. "Thank you ma'am." Shane nodded before heading back towards the cab. He gave the cab driver another address and slouched back in the seat.

His cell phone rang and he could see that it was Stephanie on the caller ID screen. "Hello." he answered. "Hey Shane-O, where are you?" Stephanie asked.

"I'm in Raleigh." Shane told her. "Was she at her place?" Stephanie asked. "Nope. Neighbor hadn't seen her for awhile." Shane said.

"So, know what big brother." Stephanie inquired. "Well, I'm going to head over to Helm's place. Hoping he'll have an idea where she might have gone." Shane said.

"but you talked to him last night." Stephanie pointed out. "I know. But I think I should ask him again." Shane said.

"Why don't you ask some of her other friends? Kali and Shannon are in Cameron. You can call CharLee and Paul. Or Angela. Amy's in Cameron with matt." Stephanie suggested. "I talked to Amy last night. And I'll talk to the others if Helms doesn't have anything else to say. Look, I'm here. I gotta go." Shane said.

"You know Shane, you could wait til she shows up at the house show tomorrow night." Stephanie urged. "I'll call you later." Shane said, hanging up the phone.

"Wait here." Shane instructed the cab driver. He hurried up the stairs and knocked loudly on Helms door. Helms opened and narrowed his eyes at Shane M.

"What are you doing here?" he asked. "Can I come in?" Shane M. asked. Helms shrugged and stepped aside to let him in.

"Have you heard from Jaylynn?" Shane M. asked. "No, what do you think I'm doing? Hiding her in my pocket?" Helms asked.

"Listen you son of a bitch, I'm in no mood to play. My girlfriend is missing, there's a stalker after her, and I wouldn't put it past you to hide her." Shane M. growled.

"Listen scumbag, you can't walk into my place and insult me. Your girlfriend isn't here. I have no idea why you'd think she was here or with me." Helms growled back.

"You can't talk to me that way!" Shane M. Said. "Like Hell I can't. You may be my boss, but I'm not on the clock and you're in my house." Helms told him.

Shane M. narrowed his eyes into a glare. "Would you tell me if you had heard from her?" he asked. "Yes, I wouldn't tell you wehre she was though. But she hasn't talked to me. And I doubt she will. Why do you seem so convinced she will?" Helms asked.

"Because I know you want to get down her pants." Shane M. smirked. "I do?" Helms asked, looking shocked.

"Yes, and for some absurd reason, Jaylynn seems to have fallen for you. So I have no doubt she'd go running to you. And I have no doubt you'd welcome her with open arms because you've fallen for her too. I'm just warning you now...she's mine. She loves me and I love her. This isn't like you and me with Katrina, got it? I don't need you fucking this up." Shane M. said lowly.

Shane Helms smirked, "Looks like you're doing well enough on your own. Katrina has nothing to do with this. Now please leave." McMahon looked at him coldly before turning and leaving.

Shane Helms closed the door behind him, his mind already reeling from what Shane McMahon had just said. Could he be in love with Jaylynn? What's more, could Jaylynn be in love with him?
