Title: Even Angels Fall
Author: Jami Lynn
Chapter: 14
Disclaimer: I don't own any of the wrestlers used in this story, 'cause if I did, I'd be busy with them right now *grin*. But I do own Jami, for she is me. Tasha owns herself. (Heaven help the person who tries to claim he/she owns either of us).  And I use the wrestlers wrestling names in the story, JUST DEAL WIT IT! And don't bother suing me...all you'd get is a half eaten ham sandwich and a bag of chips from 2 years ago.
Distribution: Ask me if you can use it, more than likely I will say yes.
Rating: So far, it's a PG-13
Content: Nothing bad as of yet, probably won't be anything to bad either....maybe some cussing.
Spoilers: Um...anything can happen and I'm just writing as I go, so I don't know yet *L*.
Summary: New Story
Feedback: I need feedback like I need air! So give it to me, babee!

"Shane...what do you think you are doing?" Jaylynn asked quietly. "We are going to talk this out." Shane told her. He used a key to lock them into the room. He started to put the key in his pocket but changed his mind. He pulled a Chris Benoit and placed it in the waist band of his boxers.

"Yeah, like I'll hesitate to go there." Jaylynn rolled her eyes and moved to sit down. "Fine, talk." she demanded. "Are you willing to listen?" Shane asked. "Don't have much of a choice, do I?" Jaylynn asked.

Shane sighed, taking a seat across from her. "This won't work if you won't at least hear me out." He told her. "You could have arranged this in a bit of a less...dramatic way. Locking us in a room? Whatever happened to going for a cup of coffee?" Jaylynn asked.

"You wouldn't even stay in the same room with me, much less talk to me." Shane pointed out. "Well, you fixed that, didn't you?" Jaylynn said. "Please Jay...baby, just let me apologize." Shane pleaded. Jaylynn stared at him and he took that as the go ahead.

"I should have never...never...suggested that you were sleeping or interested in someone else. I was jealous...and I was wrong. I'm sorry." Shane apologized. "Why would you think that? If I wanted to be with someone else, I wouldn't cheat on you, I'd leave you." Jaylynn told him.

Shane rested his head in his hands, "Strangely, that doesn't make me feel better." "I'm sorry, but it's the truth. If you don't trust me...we have nothing. We have no relationship without trust." Jaylynn told him.

Shane nodded, his head still in his hands. "Shane, do you trust me?" Jaylynn asked. "I trust you. I just don't trust other men around you." Shane said.

"No! That wasn't my question. This has nothing to do with the other guys. This has to do with you and me. Do YOU trust ME?" Jaylynn asked. Silence stretched between them for several long moments. Finally Shane slowly raised his head to look at her. "I want to." he said quietly.

Jaylynn felt her world crash around her. She stood up and moved to the door. She rattled the doorknob, praying that it would magically open. "Damnit! Open!" She cursed, smacking the door with her open palm.

"Jaylynn..." Shane started to say but she cut him off. "No! You don't trust me." She cried out. "I didn't say that." Shane told her. "You didn't say you did. Just that you wanted to. Like you don't already." Jaylynn said, feeling the tears building in her eyes.Frustrated she hit the door one more time.

"I do trust you. I do. I really do." Shane soothed. He started to move towards her but she moved to the desk. She began to nervously pile papers all around the desk, trying to keep her hands busy and her tears at bay. "Please believe me." Shane urged.

Jaylynn's eyes ran over a packet of papers that she had just uncovered. Feeling her heart thumping painfully in her chest she asked, "Shane, do you love me? Really love me?" "yes of course I do. You know that I love you." Shane said, moving to stand across the desk from her.

"Then why didn't you sign the divorce papers?" Jaylynn threw the papers at him. Shane seemed shocked when the papers hit his chest and then fluttered to the ground. "I, uh, forgot?" Shane answered weakly.

"How about the truth?" Jaylynn asked. "I'm divorcing her for you. If you aren't going to be here...then I'll be alone if I sign these papers." Shane sighed.

"You do think I'm going to run off with Helms don't you?" Jaylynn asked, moving once again to the door. Shane followed her. "Jaylynn, please understand." he began but again Jaylynn cut him off.

"Shane...my name is Jaylynn Emerson. Not Katrina Milgullin." Jaylynn spat. A look Jaylynn didn't recognize crossed his face. He grabbed her by the throat and slammed her back against the door. "Don't ever say her name." he hissed into her face.
