Nelan is Staid's cousin. He's one year older than him, though he really doesn't act it. They grew up together, basically, and Nelan came to visit him at Hogwarts, saying he was there to help him. No one knew quite what he was talking about, until the day it all went down. The events that followed after resulted in Nelan's being taken away by the creature, only to be warped- his mind twisted by the creature's evil. Nelan has returned to Hogwarts and is out for revenge- against Staid, for thinking he didn't appreciate anything Nelan had done for him. Guided by the creature, Nelan can now use his wand properly.. to gain pain energy.. and the one spell he has learned to master.. the Crucio..
****After an epic battle, Nelan's mind and body were freed! He is now as he was before, yet ot quite the same, and with few if any memories of his time being evil.****
Background
Nelan, as aforementioned, grew up with Staid. As his closest cousin, They were together often. Nelan had a knack for playing tricks on Staid, not making his childhood unbearable, but... making for his arrival on campus not exactly a welcome one. Though Nelan has a considerable amount of magical powers, his parents never allowed him to go to a wizarding school to hone his skills. Therefore, his magic, when he uses it, which isn't often, is shoddy at best, and at worst, downright bizarre. He has a wand, he carries it, but it is hardly ever used as a result.
