PART
FOURTEEN
As he made his way down the stairwell, Nigel came across a lead key and a sock. Duane decided that both of these items might be of use, so Nigel picked them up and continued on his way. At the end of the stairwell however, his path was blocked by a guard outside the exit.
"Halt!" said the guard. "Nobody may get past Mada Nitram without the password."
"We don't have a password." said Terry to the rest of his team.
"Use your intuition, team." replied Treguard, and at once Nigel decided to use one of  his items.
"Put a sock in it, mate!" he said as he thrust the sock into Mada Nitram's mouth, and whilst the guard tried to splutter the sock out, Nigel made his escape and dashed for the exit.

The first chamber in Level 3 was a clue room. As Nigel advanced towards the table, he saw a gold necklace, a lamp, a shield, a scroll, a spyglass and some meat. Nigel placed the meat in his knapsack to restore energy bore reading the scroll. The scroll read:

"Only one of these items will light up your way ahead."

Then the team suggested to Nigel that they should look through the spyglass.
The spyglass showed Lords Fear and Wraith deep in conversation within Fear's domain.
"Lord Wraith, we have problems." said Lord Fear. "That sneaky little dungeoneer has got into the final level of the dungeon."
"Oh, I wouldn't worry about that." assured Wraith. "They won't get back in time to stop the little surprise I've got for Treguard."
"That being....?" asked Fear. Lord Wraith immediately lit up two of the screens behind them.
"Meet Mysuhtra and Sonchara." he replied. "The two most powerful demons ever to terrify the evil portal that lurks on the other side of my realm. Once they get to Knightmare Castle, there is no underestimating the destruction they can cause to that place."
"But, Knightmare Castle is part of the greater game and the dungeon!" mulled Fear. "I'm not sure about this...."
"Nothing to fear - Fear, if you excuse the pun." smirked Wraith. "I'll ensure that you are completely safe whilst the Powers That Be are wiped out altogether...."
The automatic spyglass detection kicked in, and Nigel was forced to put down the spyglass.

"We must hurry team." warned Treguard. "The Opposition are planning something very nasty and unexpected."
"You have to choose which two clue items to take." added Frego. "Or do you take just one and keep the key?"
"Well the scroll said that only one of the items would light up our way ahead." replied Duane. "Therefore I think we should take the lamp and keep the key in our posession."
I agree with that." insisted Nigel as he picked up the lamp, before allowing Terry to guide him onwards.

The next room was pitch dark. Nigel rubbed the lamp. At once the room was lit up to reveal a stone plinth in a room full of stainglass windows, Not only that, but out of the lamp appeared Majida!
"Who are you?" asked the genie.
   "My names's Nigel, and I'm a dungeoneer."
"I do not belieeee it!" screamed the genie. "I found this lamp and hid in there to escape from that filthy, nasty, Knightmare Castle, and after ten yeard, I'm still trapped in this eeeevil dungeon."
"Wish I could do something to help." replied Nigel.
"You can!" insisted Majida. "Offer to get me out of this dungeon, and I shall tell you a leeeetle something I've picked up. Even ze panels of a lamp have ears, you know."
"Alright then." said Nigel with no hesitation. "I'll help."
"Very good!" smiled Majida." Now, when you get to this thing called the Great Causeway, you must only step on shapes whose sides increase by one with every step. You got that?" Nigel nodded.
"I am very happy." thanked Majida. "Now I go back into lamp for slumber, and you wake me again when you complete quest." And the genie disappeared doing just exactly that. Nigel turned his attention to the plinth.

On the top set inside the plinth was a small brass keyhole.
"Do you reckon I should use the key here?" asked Nigel to his advisors.
"Yeah, go for it." replied Terry. Nigel put the key into the hole and turned it, and in a flash out of nowhere appeared Merlin!
"This place of magic." gasped Treguard.
"Hello to you Nigel, and hello to your advisors also!" smiled Merlin. "Now, let us test you on your progess in the quest so far...." He was just about to do so when a vision of Hordriss suddenly appeared in Knightmare Castle.

"Emergency!" he cried. "Lord Wraith has unleashed his two demons, Myushtra and Sonchara, to attack Knightmare. They are advancing fast in the sky, and they look very unstoppable."
Treguard grimaced. Surely Lord Fear wouldn't agree to the destruction of Knightmare Cadtle so soon after the dungeon had been rebuilt? He couldn't hesistate for too long, as he had to find a way to stop the two demons, Where that source could come from however, in so little time, remained a mystery....
